This is a “must see” place in Tunisia. Although the complex is a ruined Berber village there are some activities still going on and some of the houses are still inhabited. There is also one place that is very unique and looks like “out of reality”. There is a small cave with oil press operated by camel. You enter very dark cave and inside the camel turns big stone roller pressing olive oil. The smell and the whole surrounding is absolutely unique.

The village itself is nothing special, but the landscape around it is simply stunning, like a hilly desert, full of dry river beds and a few of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. We also visited two traditional Berber houses, excavated on the rocks, with cave-like rooms and very nice owners.

Zarziskite

A natural and white sandy beach stretches directly along the kite school. It lies in close proximity to the small village Hassi Jerbi. Zarzis, where you will find the majority of hotels in the area, is situated between four and five kilometers from the spot. A transfer from and to your hotel is organized by the kite school. This conditions make kitesurf a wonderful experience.

If you want to experience a remote nice beach & sea area where you can surf...go to Zarzikite. Very professional people and great surf shop
Very nice location, possibilty to have lunch (fresh fish!!!) on the beach....far away from mass tourism, beautiful drive to the place!
For non surfers, you could also easily spend a couple of hours overthere....
