This is an interesting attraction, combining the natural forces of the water with historical use of the water and folklore. There are 186 steps to climb so you need to be relatively fit to enjoy the walk. The cost is a very reasonable €4 and your are provided with a hard hat for the walk as you walk through rock tunnels with low roofs. The walk provides lovely views of the Mountains and valley below. A good way to break a journey for an hour or so.

We used the Venet Berbahn when we walked the E5 from Oberstdorf to Bolzano. The lift is conveniently located in the centre of Zams, lifting you up about 6000 ft. Service was swift and uncomplicated. Great way to start the day of walking. Fantastic views from the top and easy access to the surrounding summits

Schon beim Anblick dieser Burg auf einem imposanten Bergrücken und weithin sichtbar im Inntal gelegen, haben Wanderer das Bedürfnis, dorthin zu wandern und es lohnt sich. Auch wenn die Ruine selbst heute weitgehend nur noch eine Ruine ist, so ist doch der Blick von hier oben hinunter ins Tal des Inn ein Erlebnis, vor allem an sonnigen Tagen.
