Supporting other Wheatbelt small crafts and small businesses. Proudly stocking great Australian brands. You will find original and hand made goods in the store. We relocated to the Old York Mill complex, which was built to produce flour from the farms surrounding the town. York is still a staple supplier of flour including export to Japan for their noodle production.

What a pleasant surprise to visit Patchwork on Avon - a treasure trove for lovers of craft and sewing. I bought some lovely cotton silk yarn and rang Carol the owner to buy some more at a later date. She was extremely helpful with colour choice and the amount of yarn I would need for my project. The yarn arrived five days later. Jane

The Visitor Centre is generally our first stop when looking for additional information and directions to local attractions. With Covid restrictions, websites are not always up to date as we discovered after arriving in York on the Sunday afternoon. Somewhat frustrated, I visited the Centre on the Monday where a lovely lady, Beck, provided updated information and suggested a number of other attractions that were open to visitors in the York district. Just brilliant and ensured that our three days could be full of attractions to see and visit. Other staff equally as engaging and helpful later on. Good range of souvenirs and small gifts available. Great range of brochures. Free wifi a boon.

We went up to the lookout during the day and the panoramic view of York, Avon Valley, Mount Bakewell and the surrounds was just beautiful. Worth a visit.

Lovely ice creams and the place is surrounded by wildflowers on the side of the dirt roads leading in. There is a playground with a couple of flying foxes, and some shady places to sit down and devour those great ice creams just bought, so has it all! Friendly gent - I think it was Arnaud - behind the counter was inundated with customers but kept his cool. Well done! And can I have another tub of pistachio icecream please?

Good range of basic sock designs made on the premises. Great range of Ugg and local brand boots. Other quality wool/cashmere/possum ranges of clothing. Well worth a browse. Service from the gentleman serving was friendly and very helpful.
