I go to this craft shop so much because Kay, the owner and Alison an incredible crafts woman, really know their stuff and they always give me advice when I make a craft blunder. I have been dealing with self isolation simply through the beauty and comfort of craft and this shop had been my life line.

Jay Berries

Reviewed By 76jmw - Sydney, Australia

We had a great time picking blueberries, strawberries and some veggies at the farm. Unfortunately at the time we were there the raspberries and blackberries were not ready to pick, so multiple visits at particular times of year would be good. We found their seasonal update pretty accurate. One thing that we found a little surprising was that we were each charged $5 to go and pick. This made sense later, as the charge per kg everything was very reasonable and of course there’s a little bit of tasting as you go. While they’re not organic, they apparently don’t use sprays and are aiming to be certified one day. One other thing to mention is that the toilet facilities are fairly rustic - not something that bothered us but might for some visitors If you’re looking for a picking experience on a farm in the Yarra Valley this is well worth the trip.

Verso Books

If, like me, you love a good read, this is the place for you. This bookshop I discovered is a new addition to Healesville and a welcome one! There is a wonderful selection of books which is quite a skill on the part of the owner. They are just starting to set up a few workshops and events so I've signed up to their newsletter. Although I live in Melbourne, I love a day trip to Healesville and now there is one more reason to go there.

I ordered an engraved jarrah box to hold my husbands military medals from this company. An hour or so after placing the order I was sent an email asking me to verify spelling etc and to chose the design. That was Tuesday and it was delivered to me in Qld on Thursday. The service was impeccable, the box was beautifully made and engraved. I am so happy with this purchase. This is an ideal and beautiful gift for any serviceman. I have seen that they make boxes for other occasions and will be looking into them as well. Here you can purchase a lovely gift from an Aussie company.
