The sculptures range from larger than life sized installation art pieces to small table top pieces. Photography tours around Downtown Yangon and across the river to Dala are also run from the gallery. On the Downtown Yangon tour we walk around the most interesting streets in Yangon, visiting markets, mosques, temples, and hidden alley ways where you get the chance to experience life in this amazing city. On the Dala tour, you are driven round on trishaws stopping at markets and villages getting a chance to view and photograph life in rural Myanmar. Pomelo is a lovely souvenir shop that should be a stop when shopping in Yangon. Well located next to Monsoon restaurant for a lunch or dinner stop, and close to the Colonial District near the Strand area. Selection is small but well executed; prices are fair and the items are well made. Very attentive shop staff; they leave you alone to browse but are on hand to answer questions. I came in late afternoon, after a day traipsing around the city. Seeing that I was a bit weary, they offered me a glass of water which was caring and thoughtful. Best of all ... proceeds go to local charities for your tourist spend to do some good.
