Lake Illawarra

Reviewed By 993anitat - Forster, Australia

My husband used to camp at Lake Illawarra when he was a child so it was really nice to go and visit the area and see how it had developed. It is a lovely area with lots of things to do from fishing to walking to surfing at the beach. We stopped near the bridge, which has long since been replaced, and walked out along the entrance to the beach. We have decided to come back when we have more time and when it is a little less busy and camp and go fishing up the lake.

Wollongong City Beach

Reviewed By DominikJ78 - Sydney, Australia

Located in a convenient spot in Wollongong, it is near the lighthouse and the large cafe with a lot parking around. Some great views of the beach available from the top but the beach itself is large and has a lot of place for tourists and beachgoers.

Brighton Beach

Reviewed By robbygc - Toronto, Canada

When we were there it was raining a bit. Still we went to the Brighton Beach. We could park our car, right in front of the ocean. Wow! There were many seagulls. This beach is huge, enough for many tourists. There was a big rock on the beach, as well as lots of boats. For kids, there was a playground. We enjoyed our walk on the beach. Worthwhile to see!
