American Museum of Tort Law

Reviewed By davedave222

Introduction to - and, in my case a reminder of - the importance of the ability of a US citizen to sue for injury and damages due to the actions of other individuals and corporations. The museum exhibits are numerous posters, an interactive panel and 2 videos so the museum's idea is to convey the basics of tort law and its history, but I came away with a renewed understanding of how important this is to us as vulnerable individuals, as well as how "inconvenient" it is to suppliers of goods and services. Many famous cases are illustrated. Plus a Chevy Corvair jacked up and underlit to show the infamous rear suspension. You might disagree with Ralph Nader's assessment of the Corvair's handling abilities, but the museum is a sobering reminder of how important tort law is.
