Windsor Lake

Reviewed By triathlonfan - Windsor, United States

We have lived in Windsor for nearly twenty years. For all those years access to Windsor Lake has been one of the bonuses of living in Windsor. Regardless of the time of year, it's a great place to walk, run, fish or enjoy the summer concerts, swimming and recreation. In addition, the bird life changes with the seasons. Nothing more visually or esthetically exciting that a flock of pelicans on the lake. My favority is the summer concert series in a beautiful setting on a summer evening. For runners, the concrete loop around the lake provides a two mile loop uneffected by traffic with great views of the Rockies and the birds.

The course is challenging and fun and in great condition. The greens were fast and smooth. The layout offers lots of risk reward shots on par 5s and a couple of driveable par 4s. It's a must play & the rate after 2pm was $39 including a cart.

Been grabbing beers here since it opened. I've never had a bad beer here. Not a heavy IPA place but they have plenty of variety so literally there is something for everyone. My fav is the Blueberry Wheat, highly recommend.

Visited the new/expanded Mashlab brewery during their first week of operation. Mashlab has been in business for a number of years and has developed a strong following amongst craft beer lovers. The new brewery features a full service kitchen with a very good selection of menu items. Service was excellent and the beer never disappoints!!

This golf course is a very challenging and fun course for golfers of all levels. My husband and I have gone to Pelican Lakes a few times and the 9 hole is very fun. The drink cart comes by about once, so catch it while you can, but if there are more golfers then they will have two carts coming around. I love the ninth hole that is an island in one of the lakes and it also has a food shack with snacks and drinks at the ninth hole. You can either stop and enjoy watching people try and make it onto the island with the final pin or grab something quick and keep going. Either way, very affordable and well kept course!
