All the times I have visited Margaret River and this was my first time to Woodlands Wines. I have been missing out! Firstly the staff are amazing, really friendly, knowable & helpful. The cellar door is lovely and comfortable, very relaxing and the wines are great and reasonably priced. There is a snack menu with the most amazing cheese boards that are not to be missed. All in all, one of my favourite experiences this trip and I can't wait to return.

Carpe Diem Vineyards

We are a family owned and run vineyard and we process our grapes in our own state-of-the-art winery, concealed in an unassuming green shed on the property. The entire winemaking process, from growing, picking and crushing the grapes, to bottling the wine is carried out on the premises. Everything is done with a touch of European tradition and style! Our exclusive tastings will provide a special insight into how these wines are made, while talking to one of us! We are on Johnson Road, between the Award Winning KNEE DEEP Restaurant and the Iconic BOOTLEG Brewery. Thank you and looking forward to see you! Gianfranco and Francesca

Willespie

The Willespie vineyard began it's journey in 1976, when Kevin and Marian Squance and their four children planted 3.9 hectares of verdelho, semillon, riesling and cabernet sauvignon fruit. Forty years and many accolades later, the vineyard has gracefully grown in size along with the four children who have now taken over the reins to this unique piece of land in the Margaret River wine region. Our Wilyabrup property spans over 40 hectares and is a stunning backdrop for a wine tasting at cellar door, dream wedding or special event. Willespie is a boutique, family owned and operated vineyard with a long held passion for creating excellent wines.

Delicious wine & a great range from sparkling to whites, Rose & Reds! Low key winery with friendly staff & chilled atmosphere. Probably the best wine I’ve tried in the Margaret River region with reasonable prices.

Fraser Gallop Estate

★★★★★ 5 Red Star James Halliday Winery "Fraser Gallop Estate has made a bigger impact on the Margaret River wine scene than any other winery established since the region's early days." Peter Forrestal With four trophies, including the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards International Trophy for Best Bordeaux blend and nine gold medals for our Cabernet Sauvignon since the defining 2007 vintage, Fraser Gallop Estate is now recognised as one of Margaret River's premium wine producers.

Last weekend we toured a number of wineries in the Margaret River area of Western Australia, always a treat and something to work into any WA vacation! My favourite tasting was at the Fraser Gallop Estate winery - the wines were very good and Peter, the sommelier, made it a truly delightful experience. He is knowledgeable, personable, engaging, and just a lovely person to spend time with while sipping excellent wines. Peter often set us up with two wines to taste side by side - perhaps oaked/unoaked, or 2013/2018 vintages of the same wines - which made for a more interesting experience. If you go, and I highly recommend that you do, be aware that there can be an up charge ($5) for some of the more expensive vintages. Have a look at the fancy new Italian machine that controls the temperature of the wines you are tasting while serving out a calibrated amount for you to sip.

Very quiet winery that is good for families with kids. Beautiful food and love the wine tasting set up that is private without the gossip. Just sit with your sheet, pick your wine and taste away. The kids have a huge grass area with crochet, bocce or just run around that is pleasantly away from the main dining area or if small there is another closer area where they can play. Large tress provide shade. Food, wine and service all amazing.

Wow this place was irresistible. After visiting the chocolate factory, you can take the internal road next door to Providore. Those that love their spices, gourmet goodies as well as wine will love this. Free wine tasting up the back. Clean metal spoons to taste the jams etc. My kids loved the strawberry jam. The wine pictured I bought was smooth. And they have chocolate liqueur! It's worth the drive next door!

Brookland Valley Vineyard

Reviewed By Lozza_the_Explora - Toowoomba, Australia

We visited Brookland Valley Vineyard as part of our organised group tour. The entrance to the vineyard set the scene for a perfect couple of hours. There is a small, colonial cottage located next to the driveway which is lined with maple trees and I could only imagine visiting in the autumn would be such a colourful treat. The car park is next to beautiful gardens and alongside a running brook. We were seated in Flutes restaurant which is bright and airy and overlooks the lake and on a warm sunny day you can sit out in the deck and tasted 4 different wines and picked our favourite to have with lunch. The wines were all very pleasant to the palette, so the hardest decision was picking your favourite. Lunch was divine and well worth 5 stars. The only downside is that our tour didn’t allow us enough time to relax and wander through the cellar door and gifts at our leisure.
