I stood and watched over the river, and watched the untouched landscape of the beautiful trees. It was like lookung at a time that once was, you could almost imagine the first nations people walking around amoungst the trees. Just beautiful

Some cleaver engineer/s have enabled visitors to this area to get close and personal to the unique red and yellow tingle trees that dominate the skyline Don’t miss out on the Ancient Empire walk at the end of the elevated path to marvel at these trees at ground level- truely humbling

This Park offers spectacular coastal views and in season the chance to spot a whale or two. A viewing platform at Conspicuous Cliffs provides this viewing opportunity. Or take a stroll east along the Bibbulmun track and have a picnic lunch at the Rame Head shelter before returning to the car park, a 6.8 km round trip which should be avoided on hot days.

A drive through the forest to Mt Franklin then a hike to the granite outcrop is a great way to spend the morning, There is a walkway over to the valley to the North and for the more adventurous a short climb up steps and a ladder to the top. A great view of the Walpole and Nornalup inlets and the surrounding national park on a clear day but it is also mysterious and beautiful in the misty rain.

The Giant Tingle Tree is a great spot to stop for a fabulous bush walk through the Tingle trees. The trail is suitable for all ages and there are plenty of rest stops along the way. It is about 1.5km and lots to see and read about along the way. Toilets and picnic tables are available at the carpark before you start the walk. A lovely place to stop. The Tingle trees are spectacular. So tall and virtually growing on nothing left of their bases. Such a unique tree and only found in this area of WA. Well worth the drive.

It's worth the effort climbing up to the lookout. Wild and windy - amazing coastline. Such natural unspoiled beauty.

We had a picnic lunch at Fernhook Falls. There is a large undercover seating area with BBQ's and running water available. Not for drinking though. It was raining so a lovely place for our lunch before a walk. There are toilets and the walk trails are well sign posted. The falls were flowing and very pretty. The rocks looked quite slippery so we just stayed on the pathways. It is a gravel road to get there but a good road. We walked through the camping area and they are big sites with toilets, fire pits and there are 2 cabins as well if you want to experience bush camping but have no camper, tent or caravan. There is also another large, undercover camp kitchen in the camping area.
