Theatre By the Sea

In a most unsuspecting place! Very charming upscale Playhouse by the sea! Tickets are reasonable and show quality is terrific. There's a lovely bistro connected to the playhouse in which you can dine at before the show. The food is excellent and price are reasonable. There are the most unique upscale restrooms on a trailer! We would love to go back and catch another show without gay life styles being brought forth. It has a concession stand for intermission as well.

This local distillery and now brewery is really growing, and we saw the difference first hand! When we toured two years ago, they distlled whiskey, vodka and gin. Fast-forward two years and the transformation is amazing. The simple bar that once was is now part of the production room. Display of product is no longer on flat table, but on neat and mounted shelves at the new entrance. And, you can taste and buy beer now! The beer is the whiskey base. Big things are happening in little Peace Dale. Stop by and check out a serious distillery and brewing, and manufacturing bar. All product is local and made in house. Staff is awesome! The small ferries are gone (gone south I heard), but the old standbys are still going strong, and for my money and time, nothing is better than the hour spent watching Block Island getting slowly closer over an hour’s time, or reflecting on your BI stay as you see the island slowly get smaller. Walk on, take a bike or car, and enjoy the ride! Great, friendly service. Usually a soft, easy ride (a bit bumpy if you travel soon after a big storm, but really, no worries, the ferries are big enough to easily shoulder the waves away without much rolling or pitching).

Narragansett Beach

Long flat beach, ideal for surfing.

Reviewed By Lauren L - Connecticut

Ample parking and right on Ocean Road, this is a conveniently located and lovely beach. I went on a blustery day after Labor Day, so paid no fees at all. It's right downtown so there's restaurants and shops nearby. Definitely not a secluded beach feel, but that's why it's the Town Beach after all! Enjoy!

Huge selection of all kinds of excellently cared-for perennials. However, be prepared to pay top dollar for the quality and selection. Sometimes, depending on who is available to answer questions, the sharing of plant expertise is gracious and helpful. At other times, questions are brushed aside brusquely.
