A 184-foot memorial honoring the 2,388 Americans who died during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
The memorial site was stunning & absolutely worth visiting. It’s a very unique glimpse at a critical moment in history.

I had three watches repaired, one that was carried and couldn't be repaired with one having two batteries and only the one not working was replaced. great customer setvice, persinable, friendly and professional. ni've selection of shoes although it is self service. Justin Uejo, was the ales appliance specialist who helped me with the Samsung superseded steam VRT plus washer and Multisteam Ventsensor electric dryer. I also purchased a three year service warranty that includes annual preventive maintaence check. Justin was attentaive respectful and professional. I wasn't always a big Sears Dan but I am now.

Mark collected us right on time and made us feel comfortable from the start. After a chat about what we wanted to see, he made sure we had plenty of time at each stop, took us to all the best food and dessert stops, beaches and famous places, and stopped at places well off the map. We finished up with some shopping and Mark had us back at our hotel 12 hrs after he picked us up. Its just a great day, that we would recommend to anyone.

At Reeled In Surf, we take pride in offering one of the most affordable and highest quality surf lesson in Hawaii. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our customers each and every day. All instructors are lifeguard, cpr, first aid, and aed certified and compete at professional surfing levels.
Great experience with this crew. Very good pre-arrival communication with clear instructions, quick response to questions, easy to follow maps, and day-before follow through. Weather started out lousy, and their other clients cancelled, but we were nearing the end of our visit and could not reschedule. The Reeled In team called to ask what we wanted to do. They had no problem meeting us for our rainy day and my 20 year old grandson enjoyed his private lesson with Russ. Went through on-land practice, and then into the water. My grandson was up and surfing 10 minutes after they entered the water. Russ was very patient with my grandson, made him feel comfortable. 45 minutes into the lesson, my grandson was doing pivot jumps on his board. They provided a nice cloth armchair and umbrella for me to watch from the shore. Nice beach with reasonable waves. Grandson and I felt safe. Only regret is that the weather was too poor for their professional photography. Be sure to leave this team a nice tip, they are well worth it. I highly recommend this well prepared, professional Reeled In Surf team.

A 184-foot memorial honoring the 2,388 Americans who died during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
Brought the boys with us this time and it held their attention. They only used their phone for pictures. Must see for its history.

Manulele Distillers is home to KoHana Rum, Hawai'i's first and only agricole rum distillery. We look forward to showing you our rich history through sight and taste. We hand-harvest throughout the year and press the cane to juice right at the distillery. No molasses or refined sugar in anything we do. We are a true farm-to-bottle rum distillery like no other in Hawaii. We can accommodate small to large groups. Reservations are recommended. Tours and tastings run every Tuesday to Sunday between 10am and 3pm. The store is open for purchases until 5pm. Private tours are available upon request. We are a family friendly tasting room. Visit our gift shop for that perfect Maui souvenir or join our Rum Club! Started as a conservation farm in 2008, Manulele quickly became the largest conservator of native Hawaiian sugarcane in the world with over 30 named varieties each genetically tested for authenticity. We grow only heirloom varieties of sugarcane brought to Hawaii by Polynesian voyagers 1,000 years ago. There are no hybrid canes here.
The tour is worth 30-40min of your time. The staff are wonderful and knowledgable. The Rum and how it produced at this property is different than others. Very smart conservationist. The Rum is unique and a little more than your use to paying, but honestly it's worth more, it is small batch. This is a local owned business and is run with heart.

A sugar cane plantation village with 30 homes open to the public for viewing.
This was a very enjoyable experience. The tour guide was very informative, funny, and interactive. They had umbrellas to borrow as it was raining so it did not inhibit our enjoyment of the village. There are examples of living quarters for the immigrant groups that came to work in the sugar cane fields. I had no idea there were so many. The price is reasonable and would be great for a family with school age children.

The Pearl City Urban Garden Center is a hidden gem, so glad we found it! You don't even know that you're by the freeway, shopping, and high density housing - the garden is an oasis. It’s open 9a – 2p Mon-Fri, and on the 2nd Saturday of every month they have garden demonstrations, a University of HI Master Gardener “Got a Plant Question” booth, tours, UH Seed sales, volunteer plant sales, and self-guided garden tours.
There are various theme gardens to suit most any mood, for all ages. Kids (and adults) will love the alphabet garden and the animal garden, there’s one full of gardenias (oh, the smell of it!) and - roses in Hawaii? Yes!! There’s more options, plus a beautiful organic veg garden maintained by the UH Ag program. The urban garden was relaxing, peaceful, yet invigorating at the same time. Can’t say how long it will take you to get through (they say 45 min, we spent 2.5 hrs!), depends on what you want to see.
Should you come here on vacation? YES!! The beaches, malls, activities etc are all great – yet to fully experience Hawaii, why not connect with the land - ‘aina’ - and enjoy the benefits of beauty, fun, stress relief, and anti-jet lag that this beautiful garden has to offer you - for free!
This centre was about $18 return trip from our hotel.
There is a good selection of shops but not as big a selection of some of the USA mainland Premium Outlets.
That being said we still picked up some excellent bargains with the obligatory Kate Spade handbag stop.
Not a huge range of food options. Also not much undercover area if it rains or is super hot.
Certainly worth a half day trip to get some bargains.

Our Hawaiian friend recommended this course because of the nice scenery and it allowed a 5-some group. While he paid a Kamaʻāina rate of $40, the green fee for out of state golfers was $150 per person. The scenery at several holes (e.g. #1) was indeed beautiful and calming, some because of the higher elevation. On the other hand, the modest looking club house and facilities did not commensurate with the above average pricing. The course was nicely maintained which I supposed was the most important thing. It was not difficult and the pace was great largely because hardly anyone was out on the Monday we played there. There was no food and beverage service which was disappointing.
