Basilica of Sant'Andrea

Arriving at a new Italian town like Vercelli is always a nice surprise with charming architecture and others to see and enjoy.
The church is a typical example of basilical construction, a harmonic composition of roman and gothic style.
The puritane interrior allows clear study of the architecture. Stone dominates the inside, the outside is gor bricks.
Walking around the chiesa and the parocchia is worth to enjoy and adore also the honourably great ancient trees, such as an appr. 250 years old cedar, neighbouring a 30 metres tall sequoia, magnolias and others.

Museo del Tesoro del Duomo

Reviewed By Gianfranco P - Milano, Italia

If you are familiar with early English literature, you know about the Vercelli Book. It is an anthology of Old English prose and verse that dates back to the late 10th century. The Capitulary Library of Vercelli offers several other exhibits of interest about the European Middle Ages. Vercelli is in Piedmont, northern Italy, halfway between Milan and Turin, on the main railway line. The Duomo (i.e. Cathedral) is within walking distance from the railway station,
While you are there I recommend a visit to the city centre (Piazza Cavour and surroundings) for some typical Piedmontese atmosphere.

Piazza Cavour

Reviewed By DeGustibus67 - Turin, Italy

Museo Leone

Reviewed By icab01 - Ivrea, Italy

Reviewed By mtrusse2 - Salt Lake City, Utah

Il mercante di Birra (the beer market) is a really quaint bar that serves artisan beer from around the world on tap that changes on a weekly basis. There is not a lot of sitting room, but there is lots of standing room in courtyard which defiantly adds to the character of the store. The store is always filled with good people so if you are here on vacation and looking to meet some good chill people you are guaranteed to find them there! The owner is extremely friendly and when he found out i was new to the area he introduced me to several people which i eventually became close friends with! It is very refreshing to have such a unique bar like this in Vercelli! I highly recommend checking this place out
