We were last here in August 2012 and thought it was a nice place to visit. This year we are again staying at Landal Het Vennenbos and so a repeat visit was necessary. So much has changed and for the better. The car park is more organized, as is the entrance. We got a discounted ticket on the day which was very welcome. A large number of the cages have been renovated and some removed, the zoo is being updated. The bird of prey section has had a massive improvement with what seems to be a flying area right down the centre. The birds seemed happy and alert in their sections. Definitely worth a visit.

The climbing tracks in the trees are likely to be more difficult for the parents compared to children, but doable for most people. Most children enjoy it from the first moment. Although some kids are afraid to climb, they usually overcome their fear (sometimes with a little help by experienced and skilled personnel) and will come out more self-assured. Safety first, so all climber are attached to a lifeline; cheating is not possible.
Those who do not climb, will have great fun watchingd. The place could improve on catering.

This is a big indoor playground for the children. Really awesome, especially when the weather is not so good. My children of 4 and 6 loved it. They paid 15 Euro in total and adults are free.
Because they have some nice couches it is pretty relaxing for parents too. The place is clean and has more than enough to offer when you are hungry or want something to drink. I will include some photos later.

Het was even geleden dat ik hier was. Wat opviel was dat de stoelen in de zaal vettig en behoorlijk kaal gesleten waren. Het zag er een beetje shabby uit. Jammer voor zo'n leuk klein theater.

Op Burggolf Gendersteyn vind je 3 mooie lussen om te spelen. Een parklaan, waterbaan en een heuvelbaan. Alle drie bieden hun eigen uitdaging. Een 18 holes spelen met een break voor lunch tussen de eerste en de tweede lus is de moeite waard. Afsluitend nog een biertje op het terras met een mooi uitzicht op de plakband maakt het bezoek af.
