When you reach the top of this fine lighthouse after 170 steps the excellent view to the sea and the very special landscape makes the 40 DKR ticket very good value for money.

The Danish architectural firm BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group, has created a spectacular setting for a new attraction hidden underneath the sand, in the protected dune landscape near Blaavand. The museum has three permanent exhibitions, a gallery for special exhibitions, an original bunker from WW2, a cafe and a shop. Due to COVID-19 restrictions you need to buy tickets online before your visit
Cool Interactive museum about the bunker and the west coast of Denmark. Beautiful amber collection and good storytelling about amber

The beach offers for everyone something: Soft sand for relaxing, wet sand for building castles, stones and mushles and concluding a soft branding with undeposited entrance of ocean.

We visited on a rainy autumn day, but still the area and the lake is a beautiful place, and there are many dedicated places to watch the birds from, where information about the birds and other wildlife is also provided. We also saw a very large heard of red deers in the distance. Bring binoculars ????

A nice BlueFlag beach, white sand and great waves. Do expect wind, so if you like windsurfing or like lifting a kite - grab the gear with you. Since there is a nice driveway in front of the beach do spare and hour before sunset to stroll down the beach. The view is more than worth it. Fronted with beautiful dunes overgrown with local greenery. Be aware of ticks though. Caught one.
