When we look at the historic significance of this place, it is so awe-inspiring! The place where Buddha delivered his last sermon. The pillar was erected by Emperor Ashoka to mark this place with the seated lion facing the direction, in which the Buddha set off on his final journey from Vaishali. There is a nominal fee to visit this place. The ground around the site where the stupa and the pillar stand, is well maintained with lovely greenery and benches to sit. Overall lovely experience. Must see place in Bihar.
