I’ve tried several times to write this review, but due to some glitches didn’t save so I hope this one gets through. I had a guide and a driver, 2 very nice young men, sorry names are always a problem for me. Their English was very good but were keen to learn more. Very knowledgeable, and @ the Museum we had a museum guide joining us as well. Tashkent is still not as crowded as the European countries, quite green as well. I also enjoyed very much being a 2 way conversation, I was born and raised in a Communist country, so we compared the political and economical aspects and they don’t deny their country’s past with good & bad of course. Loved Tashkent, even tourism is still quite a new thing. I had a bad experience getting in Tashkent, having arrived like 2:30 am at the hotel and they didn’t not have a room for me. I was directed to another hotel that was more like a hostel and I was very cold and didn’t sleep for more than 24 hrs. Going on a full day tour didn’t seem like a great idea, but the arrangements were made. These young men really made my day. They took me to my new hotel at 5 pm and made sure that all is ok this time. Can’t thank them enough. ????

My tour of Bukhara was the highlight of my trip to Uzbekistan. My guide, Lola, was arguably the best tour guide I’ve had the pleasure to sightsee with. She had an exceptional knowledge of the history and landmarks and her enthusiasm of the subject matter was infectious. She tailored the tour to my interest and was extremely patient as I nerded out taking photographs. I so enjoyed my day with her and hope to get her as a guide again on my next trip to Uzbekistan. The tour was effortless with hotel pick up and drop off. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Well worth it!!

A great way to get a first impression of the city Traveling in the bus is comfortable and with the audio guide in different languages it offers a good opportunity to learn something about Tashkent. The start of the bus tour is at the famous Hotel Uzbekistan, Tashkent's first hotel, located on Amir Timur Square. The end of the tour is there again. You can get the tickets for the bus tour at the Hotel Uzbekistan. The tour stops at various places, such as the Minor Mosque or the old city district, where you have some time to watch the place and the buildings. There are also many sights you just drive by, such as the earthquake memorial. So you have the opportunity to get a first impression of the city and then visit some of the sights again with more time.
