Mission Church

Mission church was part of the mission established by New England Protestants in the 1820s. Built in 1829, it is the oldest surviving church building in Michigan. Its austere interior with secluded pews and sparse furnishings is characteristic of the Calvinist religion missionaries brought to the frontier. Mission Church is currently available for weddings during the operating season (May-October).
