April 15, 2022 Marlin Saiz

Made up of St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas, the laidback USVI offer sophisticated dining, turquoise waters and quaint towns. On St. Croix, Christiansted's colorful Danish Colonial buildings provide a lovely backdrop for dining or sailing. Underwater coral gardens are heaven for divers. On St. Thomas, shopping mecca Charlotte Amalie has hopping nightlife. Tranquil St. John offers quiet trails, secluded coves and lively Cruz Bay's shops and bars. Ferries and local air services link the islands.

Sloop Jones

The Sloop Jones Art Gallery and Studio has become a St. John staple in the over two decades of radiating rainbows from the East of the Road. The artist, known as Sloop Jones, paints clothing, banners and signs in his garden studio and has been specializing in delight since 1986. Take the gorgeous drive to the East End ( via route 10) from Coral Bay and find something magical to take home with you - a hand-painted dress, beach bag, sign, banner or something else entirely. Immerse yourself even more in the Sloop Jones world of color by taking a Shirt of Art workshop, where you can make your own piece of wearable art to take St. John with you wherever you go. Now you can even stay in the Rainbow Room at Sloop Jones during your St. John vacation and walk to a private beach from your quiet, breezy cottage.
