What to do and see in TriBeCa, New York (NY): The Best Spas & Wellness

February 8, 2022 Mollie Coke

Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

AIRE Ancient Baths New York

AIRE spaces are temples dedicated to the relaxation of body and mind in which time does not exist. Inspired by the tradition of baths from ancient Roman, Greek and Ottoman civilizations. In the midst of the bustle and fast-paced rhythm of downtown, right at the heart of TriBeCa, there is an oasis of tranquility exclusively designed to balance mind and body. Located at a restored historical building, originally an 1883 textile factory, the AIRE experience consists of an unforgettable journey through sensations across the various baths with water at different temperatures that will transport you to the ancient times of the Roman, Greek and Ottoman traditions.

I surprised my S.O. with the Escape Together couples package for his birthday. We were treated like royalty and had the most relaxing, intimate experience. Our package included a free Juice Press juice (necessary, because the hot baths dehydrated us faster than we anticipated) and a 45-minute massage, which we loved. We agreed the Flotarium floating bath was the most unique and meditative, but we also loved cozying up in the Tepidarium warm bath, which had little nooks perfect for snuggling.
