I was lucky to be the only person taking this trip on that day. My Guide Jurata was very friendly, and insightful. We spent time at the Kaunas Rumsiskes, where we visited various old Lithuanian settlements. We also toured the Pazaislis monastry as well as Kaunas Old town and castle. She took time to present the cultural and historical background behind the settlements. That did help in appreciating Lithuanian history as well as Lithuanian society historically and in contemporary times. Personally, it was one of the most insightful tour I have ever experienced. For me it was an amazing experience.

When in Vilnius the KGB museum is a must in order to absorb some of the cities historical culture. Fairly small in comparison to the nazi house of terror in Budapest and Auschwitz however entry its very cheap and luckily for me it was free entry due to a technical issue with tickets. Very educational and with a little imagination you can almost imagine how horrific it must have been when active.

It was one of the best experiences of my life. I was lucky as it was the perfect day. Full moon, with a beautiful sunset. We took the sunset tour and I would recommend the same to everyone else. Kayaking was surreal, with very calm waters. We had a very tasty Apple pie after which we came back while the sun set, and the moon rose. It was truly magical. Tomas was really nice and accomodating, and we didn't have any problems from our pickup from right outside our apartment in old Town, vilnius, till he dropped us back. 10/10 in every way, for sure. And I'm glad I feel I'm better at kayaking now ????????????
