Originally my sister and I planned to go snorkeling on our last morning in Torredembarra, neither of us are very confident swimmers and although we loved the idea of scuba diving we lacked confidence in our own ability. However, the staff were so professional and calming of our fears that we felt confident enough to try diving- what an amazing experience!
Suffice to say we are planning next year's holiday around a diving course for us and possibly our children. The crew are professional, experienced and great fun to be with. We can't rate this highly enough. What started out as a last minute trip became a highlight of our holiday.
My advice is... book as soon as possible, don't wait until you arrive because the courses fill up quickly and you might be missing one of the best adventures of your life!

Roman Villa of Centcelles

Located in the municipality of Constantí, some 6 km from Tarragona, the Roman Villa of Centcelles contains a masteroiece of Early Christian art. In one of its rooms, which has been almost completely preserved, you can see the oldest known dome mosaic with a Christian theme in the Roman world, fated to the 4th century AD.

Accessible with own transport only this roman villa contains some oldest Christian mosaics in Roman world. When we got to this place in early May 2015 just before siesta it all looked abandoned. Museums staff in the strength of two people were just sunbathing... The dome with mosaics is quite interesting and so is a 10-minutes movie about discovering the place and it's importance. Car park on site. Part of UNESCO's World Heritage Site Archaeological Ensemble of Tárraco

Several different circuits with increasing difficulty made sure that the challenges came in a steady stream. The ziplines and swings where awesome, the monkey walk/wire-crossing where thrilling and hmm... - exiting :)
The staff was very friendly and helpfull. We were in really good hands.
My daughter (11y) and I spent 3 hours there and we both had a great afternoon - we would like to go back some day.
Remember good shoes - gloves are optional but I'll bring mine next time.

Faro de Torredembarra

Nice hike up the rock coast to Faro de Torrdembarra would be a nice hike without the light house. It was not open and appeared to have been recently targeted by graffiti taggers which was quite sad. The area itself makes for a wonderful view of the ocean but it appears to be rundown on the land side of things. There is no information plaque indicating the relevance of the structure and the area directly surrounding the light house appears overgrown and abandoned. As far as a reason to visit Torredembara, this doesn't even register. The beach, local culture and cuisine are the main attractions here.

Villa Romana Dels Munts

This is one of 2 villas in the Tarragona region, the first being Vil la romana de Centcelles. This one a pure once inhabited villa. Still has wall paintings, mosaics on the floor, the remains of the once amazing baths, and funnily enough the toilets for 4 people!!! Again I asked about more digging at the villa, as there is still tons to be done, and no no more digging no more money!!!! Come on the international departments of culture, these 2 places need more done, there is a wealth of history hidden underneath the ground. You can still see remains of pottery, tiles etc just laying on the ground. Wow just go!!!
