I agree with saying that Toroni beach is one of the nicest ones - it's clean with sand without too many people and too many and noise beach bars. No tents and camping people. I would recommend it to those who are looking for a quite and nice place to stay

Worth Visiting!

Reviewed By Nikola I - Hungary

We stayed in Sarti but it was near so we visited this place and it was surprisingly good;
Only thing that was an issue was the parking, it has not much capacity;
Not spectacular but a nice beach, the village it self doesn't offer much but it`s charming;

Kalamitsi Beach

Reviewed By SoyNata - Moscow, Russia

The beach is sandy as everywhere around, the water mostly always calm and of really nice temperature - not too cold and not too warm. Many people come there with little children.
Untill the 10th of September the beach was very crowded because lots of Bulgarian families come there during holidays, but afterwards it was very nice and not so overwhelmed.
You will find chezelongues and umbrellas there belonging to local hotels.

Tigania Beach

Reviewed By Eugen B - Constanta, Romania

I was on Tigania beach for snorkeling twice years in a row (September 2015 and August 2016). This beach is also known by the locals as Hawaii beach, maybe from the older name of the beach bar that was over there years ago.
Tigania beach has crystal clear waters with underwater visibility on a sunny day of 20-30 meters and a vast snorkeling area. For the ones that want to remain in shallow waters the recommended snorkeling area is around the rocky shelf which is dividing the beach in two main areas. For the more enthusiastic snorkelers who did not mind to swim in deep water I recommend a long run towards the middle small island or around the rocky left shore of the beach. In these areas the water is deep and very deep (10-25 m) with rocky peaks that sometimes are reaching the sea surface.
To reach this beach is a little beat tricky because first you have to arrive under the road bridge where is the access towards Klimataria beach and after that to go up on the bridge heading towards east. On the paved road you will see painted arrows leading towards Tigania bar. Once arrived over the beach, you will have to take a walking reconnaissance tour in order to identify the road which is steeply descending towards the Tigania parking areas. From the parking area you have to descent on foot another 200 meters for reaching the beach.
There are a very limited number of sunbeds and umbrellas. This year their state was very poor (half of the sunbeds were deeply broken and also the umbrellas were in a poor shape). So it is advisable to bring your own umbrellas and beach chairs (if you have some in your car). Anyhow, in order to use at least the fixed umbrellas you have to take some drinks from the Tigania bar. But here we encountered the most rude beach bar owner from all Sithonia and we had the worst experience from our holiday.
We were four adults and we take two umbrellas but we manage to find only two usable (not broken) plastic sunbeds. So we go back and bring from our car another two camping chairs. We ordered to one of the staff boys the usual soft drinks and frappe coffee (total value 15 euro), as we have done an all the other Beaches that we visited this summer in Sithonia. After about 3 hours my son took from our portable freezer bag a can of beer, open it and start to drink it. In no time appeared the bar owner (a young man of about 28-29 years old) how took the beer can from my son hand and through it in to the garbage trash, arguing that it is not allowed to bring drinks and food on his beach, because he is providing free sunbeds. It was for the first and last time when you had such an upsetting experience on all our vacation in Greece from the last 10 years.
Anyhow, despite this regretful incident we still recommend the Tigania beach as a top destination for the snorkeling fans. But please take care to peek a day without strong eastern winds, because if there are waves, you will not be able to snorkel far from shore.

Likithos Castle

Reviewed By KrisD_pl - Warsaw, Poland

Castle Likithos is nowadays in ruins and entry is prohibited but some restoration works are carried out, so maybe in future it can be open to visitors. There's a simple information plate and the castle grounds are fenced, but the remainings of the walls are visible from the beach of Toroni. Castle ruins are located on the southern end of the beach.
