Sri Masilamaniswarar Temple in Thirumullaivoyal is one of the ancient Shiva temples dating back by 1500+ years. The temple is approachable on the Avadi road - few 100m from the main road. This temple is one of the 276 Paadal Petra Sthalam temples. The main deity - Linga is big and said to that it has a scar because of the then king's sword hit the Linga by mistake. The scar on the Linga is filled and closed with sandalwood paste all through a the year except one day - Sadaya nakshatra during the month of March-April. The King begged pardon and was blessed by Lord Shiva. During difficult times, the Lord offered to help the king and even Nandi sits in opposite direction in an attempt to help the king to defeat dacoits. The Goddess is called Kodiyidai Nayagi - and the place is one of the Sakthi origins - known for Kriya Shakthi. It took around 20 minutes to go around the temple and have pleasant dharshan.

The Veeraraghava Swamy Perumal Temple is one among the 108 divya desams of vaishnavas and a part of tondai naadu divyadesams. It is located in Panagal Street, Thiruvallur, Chennai suburb. Trip was pleasant and divine... must visit... due to pandemic, No crowd. You can visit till moolasthanam and see the view of perumal In reclining posture

Got a divine feeling after visiting this temple.The statue of lord is 18 feet long and realistic.Got goosebumps when saw. Hidden in a less known village is this temple. Must visit if you are around chennai

One of the best back water reservoir and located near tiruvallur and very good excellent place for kids. Poondi lake is located around 7-8 kms from Thiruvallur highways.
