We had an amazing time driving the bright orange Citroen Mehari along the Estérel Corniche from St Raphael to Cannes, stopping off for lunch at Théoule-sur-Mer and visiting one of the beautiful beaches we saw along the way. The car was stunning. The bodywork was perfect and the interior was pristine and spotless. It even had an iPhone holder and USB plug, so we had satnav! It was a real novelty driving the Mehari. It has four gears, and no power assisted steering, and that distinctive Citroen engine sound that I remember my Grandma’s Citroen Dyane having, which all added to the charm of the experience. The weather’s stunning here on the Cote D’azur, so the kids loved having the wind blowing through their hair, cooling is all down as we weaved our way along the stunning roads of the Corniche. We lost count of the number of people who gave us the thumbs up or waved to us - these cars seem to make people happy, us included! Pascal provided us with excellent service - it was easy to book from the UK via email, and we picked the car up from him at the Mehariviera base in Puget-sur-Argens (they also have a base in Nice). Pascal was very friendly and gave us a tour of the car and tips on how to get the most from driving it. All in all an unforgettable way to spend a day on the Cote D’azur - the kids said it’s as their favourite day of the holiday so far, and my wife and I had an amazing time too. If you get the chance, we all really recommend you do it!

we spent the day in two very well restored Mehari’s. We could even charge our iphone in the car. We drove to Monaco and back to Nice. The rental company was very professional and best service was provided by Pascal.

Excellent teacher (also in English) VERY friendly and competent. It is advisable to take the course quite early in the day. Later there are more waves.
4. Conquest of the red gold in Esterel's mountain
Discover the Estérel, a natural park formed by red volcanic rocks in a 9 hour tour in an air conditioned 8 seater minivan. This private tour offer plenty of possibilities ! Along the “Golden Cliff Road”, be captivated by this seaside road mixing the red rocks, the sea’s turquoise blue and the green setting of the Mediterranean vegetation. Put on your sneakers, in order to explore this forest massif, throughout an easy ramble about 2 hours, enjoy spectacular views, and dominate the mountain range and the sea. During the afternoon, visit the Cocteau Chapelle. And, immerse yourself into the specialties of Esterel depending on the season : the traditional growing of the "Mimosa" (from January to March), the honey making (from May to October) and the Olive Oil production( in October). we visited only one Rass winery, and in the review it was announced that we would visit 3 wineries. I do not like this. It made a bad impression on me that when we arrived at the Rass winery we were greeted with the finding that they had already closed for tourists today, but as a compromise they would take the trouble to open for us. The winery was not typical of Provence. There are also better wineries in the area, I expected more ...

Really good guide and perfect experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable about Nice. Story was full of facts, and had a nice mix of history, culture, architecture and region specialities. 100% recommended.
