Zandvoort aan Zee

Going to Zandvoort aan Zee was a great bonus to our Amsterdam vacation. Only 30 minutes with train from Amsterdam Central you think that you are in Greece, Spain or Italy. A seemingly endless, clean beach with the possibility to find something to eat and drink a long the way. If the weather permits, I will plan for a day at Zandvoort aan Zee the next time I go to Amsterdam.

Vuurtorenweg Texel Beach

We walked along this beach whilst waiting for a tour to start. Its incredibly quiet, clean and beautiful. The different coloured cabins, and the lighthouse at the back compliment this gem beautifully. Enjoyed collecting seashells along the shore too.

Hoek van Holland beach

Fantastic place for couples, families, disabled people are also catered for with a man made wheelchair friendly ramp down to the sea, loads of eateries, bars and a few shops. The beach is like caster sugar, when you come off the ferry from u.k. or whilst waiting for ferry to the u.k.or like we do arrive early on the beach for the day, have a lovely evening meal on the beach, then head off 5min drive to ferry, shower on the ship, wake up refreshed as you arrive in the u.k. in the morning.

The "Boulevard in Vlissingen is the most unique place in Europe i think, nowhere you will see big Sea-ships passing by the beach so close. Its beautiful, great view, a lot of restaurants and terrace and also some great hotel. Love the sea, the beach and Big Ships ? then Vlissingen is the place to be !
