It is easy to hike the paths here. There are plenty of other people and their dogs enjoying the vistas. There is a nice observatory tower and a few footpaths off the main ones. Plenty of squirrels and rabbits skitter around in the bushes. It is not overly shady, so use the sunscreen and wear a hat. There is no light on the paths at night, so plan a daytime hike.

Plenty of parking. Easy in and out to freeways. Nice sized arena. Great venue to see any sport or concert event. Walking distance to many hotels.

The tour was very educational and fun, our group learned quite a bit on the process of Rum, Vodka, Bourbon, and Whiskey. I thought we would have more than 3 tastings but it was still a good tour. The drinks we had afterwards were very...MoreThank you, Shayla! Although we generally offer 4 tastings on the tour, if there is anything else that you'd like to sample, our bartenders will be more than happy to help. Please come see us again soon!

Topgolf is the premier golf entertainment complex where the competition of sport meets your favorite local hangout. Challenge your friends and family to addictive point-scoring golf games that anyone can play year-round. Score even bigger with Topgolf's extensive food and beverage menu that is sure to impress even the pickiest foodies.
We are golfers and this experience is great if you just want to hang out with friends and hit balls. It's very social and allows for fun interaction and competition. I'd give this place a 5-star rating because the couple of people we interacted with were very friendly. However, my husband's watch went missing from the table and we never found it. Also, you "have to" sign up as a membership (just $5) and we were told that we wouldn't get inundated with emails. But, I got 5 emails the next day. I had to unsubscribe. We'll go to another TopGolf facility in the near future, but we'll watch our belongings more closely. Also, keep tabs on what you're spending. It's easy to overspend with the drinks, golf time and food.

The beach is great place to relax and dip in the lake. There's fire pits and volleyball courts, which makes great people watching. There's also nice hiking trails in the northern part of the park, great place for an evening stroll.

A famous Scottish golf course designed by Tripp Davis.
This is a destination golf course in the North DFW Metroplex, and the layout is pretty amazing. right on the shores of Lake Lewisville, an 18-hole course has been constructed where every single hole is a replica of a famous hole from a course in the British Isles. Because the wind is ALWAYS blowing on this course, you can stand on the first tee and imagine yourself at St. Andrews; in fact, the 1st, 17th, and 18th holes are all replicas of the same holes at the Old Course, the home of golf, complete with the burn that runs in front of the 1st green and meanders underneath a copy of the Swilcan Bridge just paces from the 18th tee!
Things to be wary of: 1.) unlike in the British Isles, there are snakes aplenty at The Tribute, and many are venomous, so if you venture off into the native areas or near the creeks (or near the lake to the left of #6 and #7), take a club with you. I have seen a couple of cottonmouths as big around as my lower leg (especially in the canal that bisects #2), and quite a few copperheads, too.
2.) The driving range and practice area is quite a walk from the parking lot; if the cart guys aren't busy, they'll typically give you a ride down to the range in a cart...make sure to tip them a couple of bucks for their trouble.
3.) The course stays busy. As a result, the greens can get pretty beat up, and run on the slow/bumpy side. Just hit your short putts firm, and don't let it take away from the fact that you're playing a really fun golf course, even if it takes you 5+ hours to play 18 holes.
The clubhouse also serves as a hotel, with a pretty decent bar and restaurant. There isn't much else within 5 miles, so if you go, plan on staying on site. If you have a car, though, venture out to LoneStar Taps and Caps (about 15 mins south on FM 423), or just go to the Tom Thumb supermarket (which carries a pretty good selection of Texas brews).

This expansive complex has many high end shopping options with pedestrian friendly walkways. There is also a convenient (and currently free!) parking deck and parking lot which is a short walk to the variety of restaurants which offers numerous cuisine. There is everything from sushi to Turkish food to the burger offerings of Twisted Root. This is a great area to meet up with friends or explore on your own.

The National Videogame Museum is the country's first dedicated videogame museum, established to document, preserve and exhibit our industry's rich history. This museum has 20 interactive exhibits on display including an 80s-themed arcade, gaming stations, an 80s room and more.
Walk thru the history of video games with the original cartons, displays and games. The best part of the NVM is the arcade, where you can play the games using tokens (the entrance fee I paid was $12, which includes a handful of tokens, and you can purchase more from a vending machine). Good air conditioning. Free parking.
Note the NVM is set back from the street (North Dallas Parkway) and I drove past it the first time. The NVM is in a huge group of buildings with some other Frisco cultural stuff along with at least one private business. The NVM is off the Tollway/Parkway near Cotton Gin Road on the east side.

We are passionate about serving our guests and providing safe, clean fun in a family friendly environment. We serve by being humble, grateful and thoughtful.
Small water park good for locals but wouldn't say tourists will enjoy - simple food offerings, rides are ok but nothing thrilling. Lines are usually long and sidewalks are very hot most of the summer - this should be something they spend money on. They also rarely have enough tubes for rides or for the wave pool - another thing to spend money on. Best deal is to get the season pass to save money and get good coupons. Would be better if they made the lazy river longer and added some waves to it. Would be good to add more shade by the wave pool.

During our trip of Dallas while traveling Downtown Dallas to McKinney we stayed in this park for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine of Dallas. It is really nice park where play area for children is available and seating places for relaxation is also available and walking paths is also good for locals.
