Parque La Loma

Reviewed By Jonatan E - Guadalajara, Mexico

This is the biggest and most important park in the city so it becomes a “MUST” on things to do in Tepic. It has many areas from children area, courts, skate park, dog´s area, a little train and most important, lots of trees and green areas. Sometimes there are students doing a social service and they help people or give information to visitors. It´s a great place to do some exercise or to take the children to enjoy the place. There have always been issues with toilets as they are never clean enough and sometimes are closed. There are hospitals and different kind of restaurants around the park, there are also some snack options at the food court of the park. Last time I was there I enjoyed a very nice Nayarit coffee at the cafeteria. It´s a park where you will enjoy the time and very important you will have to interact with your company. The children area is full of memories of many children from Tepic. I recommend a visit of maybe 1 hour if you are looking for something special, if you or your children find fun at the green area or the playground just enjoy much as possible with those simple things.

Take a day to wander downtown. The shopping, the food, and if around the holidays great local artisans selling their work. The people were great and we enjoyed our day downtown. The city is growing fast and everyone seemed to be out shopping after work. Better to take a cab downtown as parking is sparse.

Rhino Wings

On a long walk, we stopped for lunch at Rhino Wings, a sports bar. Locals were watching soccer on TV. No Ameerican here on our visit. Crowded place had a menu that include a cocktail listed as a “Mother F-ker). Brazen. We would not go out of our way toreturn, but it was good for Mazatlan soccer fans. Tired from our walk,we took a pulmonia back to Pueblo Bonito.
