Really enjoyed the movie by Baliflix, we went to one of the hostels in Tel Aviv and managed to stumble upon Baliflix. We were so lucky to run into that hostel because the movie night by Baliflix was a perfect way to spend our night in Tel Aviv. We watched a movie that didn’t bother anyone and that allowed us to enjoy without being bothered! Love the headphones concept and bottomless popcorn was perfect. I highly recommend

Tel Aviv Cinematheque

If you are visiting the city, check out whether there is a festival, concerts, concert films. If you live in TA and like art-house films, it is well worth a membership (check out discounts for TA residents, seniors, soldiers, etc.). The Hebrew online website is not so easy to navigate. Best is to call and order your ticket if you don't read Hebrew. The machines in the lobby (Hebrew) ARE easier to navigate and order in advance, or even at the moment. NOTE: even all seats are "taken", go anyway. Why? Because subscribers often book seats and then don't come OR cancel. You might have to hang out near the counter until the exact time a film is supposed to start (most have trailers) until the supervisor releases tickets due to empty seats. New cafe vendor is definitely an improvement.

Cinema City Glilot

Reviewed By ArikA27 - Herzliya, Israel

Glilot Cinema City complex is located on one of Tel Aviv's major junctions, just north of the city. It is located between Tel Aviv, Herzliya and Ramat Hasharon, and is easily accessible by car. Public transportation is not hard because most busses travelling north will stop by the Glilot interchange , next to the cinema complex. The place is big and offers a food court with several places to dine, a few shops and 18 cinemas ranging from the small to the large . One is reserved for VIP treatment including a private refreshment bar included in the ticket's price. You just need to make sure you come early enough to enjoy it :-). It is a busy place and the parking lot is large enough even when the place is full. You can have a private screening and on fridays or afternoons you will see the occasional birthday party. but it isn't a problem, since the place is large enough. Cinema's in Israel offer several theatres but the size and the many theatres here are a good mixture offering a film for almost all tastes at any given moment. I like watching movies in Glilot Cinema city, oad often enjoy also a burger in Black's restaurant which isin the complex but that's for another review...
