Texas Beer Company

Reviewed By Taintpretty - Austin, Texas

Relatively new brewery and is was amazing at how much nicer their tap room is over .ROmany in Austin. Some impressive metal work to add to the decor along with nice art on the walls make this a stand-out.

Along with their own beers on tap they also source other local brews. I was pleased to find Pinthouse Pizza Double IPA on tap here. Only two of their own beers were on tap but the stout was really nice as was the IPA. Their own beers are only $4-$4.50 (this should be standard price for all in-house taps).

The have a stage and live music on weekends. The staff was friendly and we even left with two shirts liking their logo. Even the restrooms were really nice. We'll be back with friends soon.

They do stock a variety of games or for those wanting to let their competitive side come out. A nice ping pong table as well so good for kids. Plenty of TVs for watching sports.

They did have Davis bbq being sold while we were there. 2 star rating due to high rubber content of the brisket sandwich. Pales in comparison what you can find in Taylor Cafe or Mueller's (top shelf!).

Howard Theatre

Visited the Howard Theater to view The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 while in Taylor visiting family. I really enjoyed the experience. The theater has that "old school" charm, and the ticket prices are very fair. Concession prices are reasonable as well. The 2 employees that were working were very friendly and inviting.

The Moody Museum is located in the boyhood home of Texas' Governor Dan Moody. The museum shares the the story of Gov. Dan Moody's successful prosecution of members of the Ku Klux Klan in 1923. It also tells the story of his family and the Taylor community that helped to shape his legacy as Texas' youngest governor.

This museum was the former home of Governor Dan Moody and his story is fascinating. By successfully prosecuting Ku Klux clan members, he changed the Texas landscape and promoted a more diverse culture throughout Texas. I think this museum will continue to enhance the culture of Taylor for many years to come. They even recently featured an art exhibit by a local and very talented artist from Hutto. This place is a must see!

When this "little bird" flew into town, she brought sweet music and magical times to our lovely town. I have enjoyed all of the music, especially the sweet harmonies and soulful ballads of Jake and Ryan. The atmosphere is old-school coffee-house with tables and chairs, sofas and armchairs and benches where your likely to run into a pair cuddling or a group with a sweet game of Spades. A good time is had by all and everyone is friendly!

Since 1914 ... 14th oldest golf course in Texas

Reviewed By Don A - Georgetown, Texas, United States

I ventured to this course to regain strength and stamina following rotator cuff surgery. A 9-hole venue is just about right for rehab. Course has rolling fairways, but the grass is a little sparse in spots. Greens are small and require great wedge play. Putting surfaces are firm and fast.

Great rates and it is better than pounding balls at the driving range.
