Not our usual haunt, we go every year but needed a change as the old place was very tired last year and this place is exactly what we were looking for in a change
Rooms are spacious and comfy, the views are stunning and the town is close
The guides listen to what you want to surf and we nailed it. One of the best surfs ever
The guys who run the place might appear a bit ditzy but they have their business well managed and this is a slick operation.
I will be back and the old place is now history
Cheap, clean, welcoming and caring, what more do you need

Awesome time.
Authentic Moroccan Surfing adventure with Abs and his Master chef Nourdine.
Everything organised like clockwork from the pick-up and welcome to Morocco hug from Abs to the emotional drop off at the airport at the end of the holiday.
If you want to surf the best conditions Morocco has to offer at any given time then Abs is your man. He knows the coastline like the back of his hand. He has surfed all the spots from way down South into the Western Sahara to way up North (Safi and beyond).
He took us to loads of places that we wouldn’t have found ourselves, many requiring his 4WD vehicle, and mostly uncrowded with often just the 3 of us on the trip +/- himself out.
I could name some of the breaks but best to just quote Abs really as “Somewhere in Africa” to maintain the mystique.
We stayed in a traditional Berber house for a couple of nights, a Bird and Nature reserve for another night, a surf Auberge for 3 nights and 3 nights near the Sahara Surf office with “Bernard” an excellent host.
Unfortunately we did not get to camp down south in the Sahara as the conditions didn’t allow. We will have to return for that trip another time.
However, we scored head high and overhead waves down South for 3 days when the whole of the Taghazout bay was flat. We bumped into some other Welsh surfers on our way back through and they were pretty jealous when they saw our photos compared to the gutless mush they had been putting up with.
Nourdine accompanied the trip. He provided us with fantastic Moroccan food (loads of it), took great photos and generally looked after us in a manner that was very humbling to us. He is also an excellent fisherman by all accounts.
Our host Abs was a true gentleman. He is a great guy with a fantastic sense of humour. He taught us loads about Morocco, versed us in Arabic, Berber and French, all of which he is fluent in (as well as English of course), and surfed like a “Pipe Master”.

My 21 year old son just spent 2 weeks Surfing with Mohamed.
The teaching was fantastic, he made a lot of progress and thoroughly enjoyed himself as well.
He loved the friendly family style atmosphere as well as the great food and fun times.
He has experienced Surfing schools in Hossegor (France) and in the USA, so it was not a first for him.
I could not more warmly recommend this surf school for their kindness, experience, organisation (without a single hitch) and professionalism.
Im swiss so organisation is a must, and to be honest it was "swiss style" perfection.
Comes highly recommended from me!
Thanks again Momo!

Had a really good time with Verena and Omar. Just spent a week in Taghazout and I'm already looking forward to the next time! A week's just too short! The website said it's a surfers paradise. And although I haven't done much Surfing before I now know it's true. Omar is a great and patient teacher and Verena has some really nice design skills! Bought two shirts in their surf shop too. :) Such a good place to be! I really would recommend their service anytime!
