Quiet end of the road huge black sand beach divided by Balian River. Black cobblestones and one of the best user friendly surf spots in Bali. Maybe 10 different warungs (eating places) most looking at the surf and sunsets. This feels like the Bali I wanted to see. Much of the island is getting "loved to death" with development run amuck. I almost don't want to share this gem, lest it too gets overwhelmed. If you are looking for night club type action stay in Kuta, non here.

My Balinese friends of 20 years took me to Batukau Mountain Temple for a very special & emotional Blessing for my Mum who just died a month ago. I asked my friends if they could do this to ensure my Mum was completely at peace in her next life. They said it would be our honorable to do this for your Mum as you are part of our family. I had to wear traditional Balinese clothing & it we as an incredibly special Ceremony. My Mum was created in Australia so this was also very special to me as there was no Funeral. The place is unlike any other Temple I have visited, very peaceful & serene & was the perfect location for this Ceremony.

Hidden Garden Agriculture is a pleace located in midle of Bali Island and midle of batukaru mountain. That is in Banjar Abianluang, Desa Baturiti, Kabupaten Tabanan - Bali, Street way to Bedugul, Beratan Lake, Twin Lake, Botanical Garden, Gitgit Waterfall Singaraja. So, around Hidden Garden many Beautiful place near by.

We stumbled across this little oasis on our way to Handara Gate. It’s easy to miss if you don’t have a driver but well worth the stop. We had our own little guide who showed us around the garden and told us all about the process of making the coffee there (made by hand - no machines). Very fascinating to see how it’s done. They have a swing with a beautiful lookout, a little love seat for photos also, as well as coffee & tea tasting (free) and then you can also purchase a pot of coffee or tea of your choice. At the shop you can buy any and all of the coffee/tea tastings. - personally recommend the avocado coffee and the Pandan Tea (delicious).
