My boyfriend and I each did a 30-minute session and had an amazing time! Our instructor (unsure of his name, maybe it was Jason?) was incredibly patient, easy-going, informative, and encouraging! It was intimidating at first, but with the instructor's feedback and support we were up and flying! My boyfriend said it was the most fun he's ever had and is currently next to me looking at buying a flyboard!

I'm not sure if it is Alberta in general, but I have been nothing but disappointed in what Alberta has to offer in the way of Beaches. Sylvan came highly recommended and it was just as disappointing.
First off. No dogs allowed. So if you are vacationing with your furry friends in Alberta, good luck.
Super busy. The water was questionable and it's not really a place I would say you can relax. Might be better during the week, but in the weekend, it sucked.

This was so much fun we could do it every day! Remember to bring your water shoes for grip, not necessary but sure help! So much fun with kids of all ages, 6 years and up. The best part was the kid flinger (not sure what is called but I like kid flinger!) it's a giant pillow that the kids sit on then I jump on it and they fly!! I was stuck there for about 10 min flinging kids of all ages, haha . Great family fun!

Jarvis Bay Provincial Park

Reviewed By Lorrie S - Regina

We liked this campground because it had lots of mature trees and greenery between the campsites which gave privacy unlike so many that are sparse or parking lot style. The space between the sites was also more than average. We found the bathrooms, garbages and recycling bins to be more than adequate. There is a fire pit for an open fire which we like and you can't always get. It is close to Sylvan Lake which we love and has a beautiful lake, stores, restaurants very close to Jarvis Bay which is convenient. WE found it very quiet when we were there (came on a Monday and left half way through a Saturday) but that was just our experience. Personally, I find a lot of people with young children are noisy as well and they are noisy early and all day whereas "partiers" I guess would be loud later at night though we didn't personally find that and no, we aren't drinkers at all. The biggest nuisance we found was a loud father yelling at his kids constantly and criticizing everything thing they did. We will go back.

I've come here many times and never left unsatisfied. The staff/owners are very polite and friendly. The whole building is newly renovated and all the rooms work perfectly. If a hot steam is what you're looking for, either with friends or alone, you've come to the right place. You will leave rejuvenated and fresh! They also offer water, towels and aroma therapy for the steams. There are other services (massages) offered her, but I have yet to take advantage of them. Maybe my next visit!

Lakeside Go-Karts & Mini-Golf

Reviewed By Super W - Alberta, Canada

This is a great stop for the family if you are in Sylvan Lake. We did the mini golf and the go karts. The mini golf was okay but the go-karts were fantastic. For under $20, we had 5 minutes for a single go-kart for the older child, and a double go-kart for a parent and younger child. It was a blast and we did it two days in a row. They also have bumper cars for kids, but the area looked fairly small so the kids wanted to stick with the go-karts on the track. Every person who worked there was so nice!
