Eager boxing fans created this museum devoted to the sport.
My father was a golden glove champion and my husband took him to it. They were very glad they went. There were film clips of all the great old time boxes. Very, very interesting . Easy access and parking. Motel and restaurants within a stone throw.
If this is what you like, put it on your bucket list.

Our almost 3 year old has been here twice and she loves how close she can get to all the animals. Feeding and petting animals is a big hit and even the bears and large cats are close enough to get a great feel for their size and power.

We just stayed here for 3 days with our your kids and our other family brought teens for a long weekend- let me say- all 13 of us thoroughly enjoyed this state park! We did 3 days of dry camping so we did use the bathrooms- looks like they were very recently updated and they were very clean! I washed my dishes at the sink they provide and there is a light and warm water available for this!! So nice compared to other parks I've stayed at!!
The campground is small- I believe 45 sites total- it was perfect for letting my 5 year old ride his bike around the loop!! We also did a family bike ride through the trail and into the privately owned summer home neighborhood- easy to do with a 5 year old who just ditched the training wheels and we all enjoyed it so much!!
The beach is small- but still found a spot each day! The water is clean and swimming was very nice! It was shallow enough that my 3 year old could walk way out and enjoy himself!!
There are 3 playgrounds- one is brand new and soooo cute! It's a pirate ship theme which my kids had a ball with! There is also Teddy's Treats snack shop which serves everything you could want- even fried dough!! We only ended up ordering slushed from there , but everything smelled good!!
We will definitely be back- the bike path, although small, is great for kids and the sunsets were breathtaking each night!!

We recently visited Oneida Lake in New York. While at Oneida Lake we took a fishing excursion with Scriba Fishing Charters. We are a middle-aged couple whose fishing experience amounts to drowning worms as kids and a couple trips out on Lake Erie charters.
Our father and son captains, Chris and Christopher used a combination of experience and technology, navigating through heavy early morning fog, to locate the walleye we hoped to catch. Once on top of the fish, everything we needed was there for us. We were shown a fishing technique that was new to us but effective on a day when others on the lake were coming in with sparse catches. We ended up just one short of our limit and the fish were all nice size. Once back on shore, Christopher cleaned our fish for us. We had some for dinner as soon as we got home; not a bone to be found!
I would recommend Sriba Fishing Charters to anyone interested in going fishing. Raw amateurs like us will have a great day with these patient and knowledgeable sportsmen. Experienced anglers won’t find a more amicable pair to swap ideas and stories with.

We have been to this casino several times over the years. The staff are so welcoming and the facility is beautiful. Large variety of slots and table games. I usually win a bit which is always fun. Great venue for concerts and nice restaurants too. Love this casino.

I came here with a group this past September and was blown away by how accessible this conservation area was. About a half hour east of Syracuse (where my friends and I hand stayed the night before) I realize now that I could have biked here and back for a day trip.
Because it was early Fall, leaves all around the conservancy were starting to change color and the morning sun set this backdrop for some beautiful photography.
We got there in the morning for a nature walk and were surprised to find "Mike", the founder of this "Swamp", up and about the property. He talked to us about how he and his organization's supporters had been maintaining the swamp lands for close to 20 years. Because of the work that Great Swamp does, this location has been able to foster all sorts of beautiful birds and other animals that would have otherwise been driven out of the area by farming or property development.
Miles of beautiful wooded trails and more varieties of wildlife than I could count really made the place stand out on my tour of Central New York.
After our walk, we sat in the cabin that housed the location's offices, education center and gift shop for a quick coffee and we got to talk to staff about the Swamp's recent developments. I even got a sweet t shirt to remember the place by.
I would definitely come here again, Mike told me the snowshoeing is supposed to be great around this time of year.

Villa Verona Vineyard is a 3200 Sq Ft Winery & Tasting room and Bistro located on Rt 365, 1.7 miles west of the Turning Stone Casino. We currently carry 13 wines, from dry to sweet. We offering tasting Wednesday - Sunday. We recently opened a brand new bistro, featuring farm to table cuisine.
.Very nice little bistro. Nice specials and good atmosphere. Ordered on Omagang beer and it was out. Ordered a mushroom burger with NYS Swiss cheese however was not asked how I would like it cooked. Burger was very good. Fries were very salty, perhaps a bit overly so. Drank my water and it was never refilled. Waited an exceptionally long time to have our plates cleared and check presented. Only two waitresses and one took off during prime time. The owner had to clear tables and serve plates which was a good thing. Overall the long drawn out experience took away from a very nice meal. Hoping this is constructive to help improve the service.

A small, family-run amusement park offering an antique teacup ride.
This little "seaside" park is perfect on the shores of Lake Oneida in New York. The rides are mainly classic ones that have been here for years, including the classic dark ride that remains virtually untouched since it was installed years ago. Concessions, games, and a gift shop are available on the grounds. No admission charge with rides either pay as you go or pay one price wristband. Two new rides to the park were being installed for later this year (2017). There is still the hard-to-find Fascination game on the grounds. The employees were very pleasant. A fun place to experience.
