I have just spent three most enjoyable hours in Stockholm learning so much about photography!! I met Dennis at the appointed time and place in Gamla Stan and we proceeded to dissect what photography was about and in an instant Dennis seemed to understand what I wanted to glean from this photograph course- I didn't want to just take pictures I wanted to learn how to compose interesting, memorable (especially for me) time capsules. To say that Dennis was so patient, so knowledgeable, so professional and just so excellent weaving a web of photographic options to challenge my concepts of what I liked about my composing a photographic memory of Stockholm. Just brilliant!!! and I am now thinking how I can put these amazing ideas(I say ideas as I have a lot of practice to develop these into skills) into my daily photography !! This 3 hours in Stockholm learning new concepts have made my solo trip to wonderful Sweden the most memorable time!! Dennis made that happen with his quiet questioning, his delightful way of not making me feel inadequate - he just saw dimensions and concepts which initially eluded me - and together we went on an exceptional journey in Stockholm !! The communication prior to the photography lesson was excellent and Patrik kept in contact making sure I knew meeting places and contact details. Thank you so much for so much fun while learning all the time!!

We booked a Localgrapher for a couples shoot in Arizona. The results were okay at best, and we regretted not seeking out an established local in the area. For the price, we received 60 very average choices and the ability to select 35 shots. We couldn’t even find 35 framed correctly. The localgrapher website is also a joke which requires a youtube video to figure out. The UI is terrible and the photos will disappear rapidly so do not wait to download (set aside a couple hours - that’s how bad it is). But really, just avoid. Hire someone directly.

My husband and I booked the 4-NIGHT, 100% PRIVATE AURORA ESCAPE which included four Aurora Nights, dog sledding, snow-machining, wild-life tour and many other great things! Our guide was Chad, the owner of Lights-over-Lapland and from the moment we first contacted Lights-over-Lapland we have been extremely well taken care of in terms of our specific requests, expectations, and travel arrangements due to the pandemic. We have been fortunate to have travelled a lot in the past, but this was one of our best holiday trips ever. Chad took such great and personal care of us, it felt like family. He is a very experienced guide. He knows every corner of Abisko and the surroundings and took us to amazing places. The nature and the sceneries of the area were simply breath-taking, and we could not have hoped for a better experience. Out of the four nights we saw amazing aurora displays on two nights which were stunning. The private escape included staying in a lovely and well-equipped and maintained house in Abisko with all the amenities, incl. sauna. We even had our chef who came to the house to cook for us on four of the five nights. The cooking was out of this world and a great local, culinary experience! A big thanks again to Rob for providing such great meals! It was by far one of our best experiences ever and we are eternally thankful to have experienced it. On a scale from 1-10 this was a 12 and we would recommend Lights over Lapland to anyone without hesitation! Thanks again to Chad and his team for providing such an amazing experience and for making this a perfect trip to celebrate our anniversary. We are looking forward to meeting you again! Cheers from Switzerland: Raphael & Jennifer

Today the Stockholm Subway has more than 90 stations that feature art created by over 150 artists. Although they all form part of the same subway system, the stations and the art they contain are all very different. In 1957 T-Centralen was the first station to gain art, which means that we today can find art from six decades in the Stockholm subway. It’s not only the art but also the architecture, which makes the Stockholm subway appreciated and famous way beyond Sweden’s borders. Ever since the early 1970's most of the stations have been built as what we call cave stations. The rock face is covered with a layer of sprayed concrete, which follows the shape of the rock, giving an illusion of a station in a cave. The artists were working in long-term partnerships with architects and engineers to create complete environments rather than individual artworks. The cave stations are found on the blue Metro line and partly on the red Metro line.

I chose to book a private tour with Patrik because I wanted to be sure to get the time I needed to set up the photos I wanted, and I wanted Patrik to have the time to give me feedback on my photos. I see the tour as an investment to learn and grow my skills while also getting great vacation photos. It was everything I wanted it to be. It was well worth the added expense to have the one-on-one session, and the price is very reasonable considering you are working with a professional photographer. I found Patrik knowledgeable on the technical aspects of photography, and he gave me a new understanding of some of the tools on my camera. I've been on two other one-on-one tours in other countries and was pleased that Patrik showed me new things that I hadn't learned before. Patrik was also easy to chat with and I felt comfortable with him right away. He reached out to me about "plan b" in case we were to have a rainy evening, which I appreciated. All around great customer service. Thanks for a great evening! I would highly recommend this experience to others!

Haga is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Gothenburg. The pedestrian street Haga Nygata is lined with well-preserved houses, many in the characteristic Gothenburg style called "landshövdingehus" with one floor in brick and the rest in wood. Each iconic house and building have a wealth of historic significance and during this tour we will enlighten you in some of the best ones. During the 1900th century the entire neighbourhood used to be a slum with a seedy reputation although you would never know it today as Haga is by far the city’s hippest area with no shortage of cafes, delicatessens and independent shops guaranteed to charm you in the most Swedish of ways. Our local guide will navigate you to the must see places, the hidden gems, the local hotspots and give you a proper introduction into the most iconic neighbourhood of Gothenburg.
