Noosa National Park

Reviewed By sundaysap - Sydney, Australia

While visiting Noosa twice last year in January and June I did a lot of bushwalking through their pristine National Park. We have quite a few National Parks here in NSW but none of them compare to this stunning treasure. They were updating the walkways into the National Park when I was there in June last year, but I personally found their walkways were well maintained when I was there previously in January 2018. There is wheel chair access for the disabled and also well paved walking track for families with young children with prams and also the elderly. The best part of this pristine National Park walk are the beaches you come across on your way up which are Tea Tree Bay, Granite Bay and further into the National Park (depends on your fitness level) is the beautiful Alexandria Bay. And before you venture into this beautiful National Park make sure you stop into the Kiosk located at the information centre within the National Park, they make the best coffee ???? I have tasted in Noosa. Seriously a great pick me up for your long walk up into this pristine treasure. Absolutely loved it.

Mount Tinbeerwah

Reviewed By joyo52 - Brisbane, Australia

Fifteen minute drive (about 9.4km) from Tewantin centre to lookout carpark. Drive up mountain is mix of sealed and unsealed road, but in good condition. The 1km return summit walk from carpark is a good steady incline with steps and easy for someone with medium fitness. I saw some walking who were not so fit huffing and puffing but take your time and it's worth the views. The path is very easy to navigate and even if wet would not be slippery. Best 360 degree view I've seen with easy access in area. Even though views to east were hazy from bushfires, west was clear.

Australia Zoo

Wildlife in this popular zoo was captured by Australia's famous "Crocodile Hunter," a legendary herpetologist excelling in snake and crocodile capture techniques.

Reviewed By Cmopdgc - Davis, United States

What a day at the zoo! My wife and I wanted to have a really special experience at the Australia Zoo so we sprung for the Aussie Animals private tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and informative. As we were shuttled to each location we were met with friendly staff and wonderful surprises. We chose to customize our tour a bit and decided to go with the Koala experience instead of the photo only. I highly recommend the experience, to hold the Koala and get some one on one time with the keeper was great. We had a full day at the zoo... from the Kangaroo to the echidna we didn’t meet an animal that didn’t live up to the hype. As a long time fan of Steve Irwin and the Crocodile Hunter show the Australia Zoo has preserved his memory and honored his life through wildlife conservation. The Crocoseum show intro was emotion as well as inspiring while talking me back in time to when I used to watch the Croc hunter diaries... all and all I can’t say enough about the zoo, the staff and they’re continuing goal for wildlife protection and conservation. I will go back some day!

The Original Eumundi Markets

Renowned for our locally handmade artisan treasures, there's no other market quite like it. We're open rain hail or shine every Wednesday & Saturday.

The Eumundi Market is huge with a really varied range We visited on a Wednesday. The parking was reasonable at only $6; it’s free if you are lucky enough to find a space on the street Purchases included a wooden bow-tie; a hat; jewellery; some hand painted scenes; and a heap of food - fudge, crepes; Thai street food and German sausage The range is vast. The stores well arranged. The setting is shaded by trees. Toilets are abundant. The people are friendly. The stakeholders never pushy. Even dogs are welcome A very chilled place and great market to spend a morning wandering. Best market I have visited

Maroochydore Beach

Reviewed By 993anitat - Forster, Australia

We have been to Maroochydore Beach before when the surf was pounding. On this occasion the Westerly winds had made the sea very calm. Even though it was May the water was still quite warm. We had fun watching a couple of guys surfing on the hydrofoil sups. The beach is patrolled and has great views to the North and South. We were staying at the nearby Cotton Tree Caravan Park so I got up at dawn and watched the beautiful sunrise over the ocean and had a walk along the beach. Great Spot!

Maleny Dairies

Maleny Dairies is a family owned business situated in the picturesque hills of Maleny. The process of milking our Guernsey gals and bottling their creamy goodness for your breakfast table is a fascinating one. On our tours ($14 per person for everyone over 2)you get to see where it all happens and learn a lot about the process and the different products that we are so famous for. We have plenty of room for the children to run around so why not celebrate your child's Birthday at the farm? Give us a call today and we can discuss your needs. We also have a kiosk on the farm where you are able to purchase hot drinks, snacks and our selection of products at factory prices. Of course if you want to bring your own picnic you are most welcome. There are also electric BBQ's for you to utilise. We are wheelchair friendly too. At Maleny Dairies we pride ourselves on having the friendliest staff that truly makes your experience with us a very happy one.

We had such a lovely afternoon with a little education and fun. From feeding the calves to seeing the day to day operations of the dairy. My son loves Maleny Dairy Milk so bought him here for his 6th birthday along with my 4 year old nephew and we all had such a great time, especially sampling their products. With all the different animals and great customer service would highly recommend a visit for any age. Fun with a bit of education thanks to our tour guide Emma who was a wealth of knowledge and very easy to interact with.

I love the Mt Coolum Summit Hike - it’s only 2kms return and can be done in 40 mins with unbeatable views over the Sunshine Coast & the uphill makes for a great cardio workout. I did it must recently on Xmas day to work off some of the Xmas calories and felt great afterwards. A true local icon.
