TWNC is a home for many endangered species such as Sun Bear, Sumatran Elephant, Clouded Leopard, Sumatran Surili, Siamang, and also Sumatran Tiger with the highest population density in Southeast Asia.

We travelled with Trailfinders. The organisation was superb. We had a guide for our 3-day stay called Gandar who was very knowledgeable and thoughtful. A ranger called Ayub was assigned for the Orang Utan trek; frankly he was a genius, we saw eight including one very close encounter. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend any aspect.
