What to do and see in Stare Mesto (Old Town), Bohemia: The Best Gift & Specialty Shops

September 28, 2021 Natalie Tallman

The bohemian allure and fairytale features of Prague make it a perfect destination for beach-weary vacationers who want to immerse themselves in culture. You could devote an entire day to exploring Prazsky hrad (Prague Castle), then refueling over a hearty dinner at a classic Czech tavern. Spend some time wandering the Old Town Square before heading over to gape at The Old Town Hall and Astronomical Clock. Prague’s best bars are found in cellars, where historic pubs set the scene for a night of traditional tippling.

We had a very pleasant evening in the Smaltum Workshop. We created our own cups and bowls with enamel technique. The guide and owner of the workshop helped the creative work step by step, so the whole family (parents & 10 year old kid) could enjoy the program. We spent 2 hours in the workshop with fully engaged creative and artistic work and fun :)

I am so glad there are places like this in Prague. I found that place by accident and I had to stop and look because of such a cute shop window. It is really small store and it looked as a treasure with really nice designer pieces and the girl inside was really nice to me. I highly recommend this olace fot everyone who wants to find unique and good fashion designers. I started to follow them on Instagram as well which is great way to discover their new items because there is not always time for me to stop there.

Original and special experience. So welcoming, very informative, sharing stories of scents and finding something that was special. I bought this experience as a gift and Olga was mindful of this from introductions, all the way though to payment. We each made a perfume based on our preferences, and was taken through everything step by step. The shop and workshop is beautiful, calming and inspiring. They use local glassware, and Olga is loyal to the partnerships that she has made in her learning journey, using specially selected scents and materials. Olga and Boris were like old friends. Thankyou very much. I wholeheartedly recommend this as something to do in Prague, and a brilliant keepsake of your time and memories there.
