What to do and see in St. John's, Antigua: The Best Historical & Heritage Tours

February 22, 2022 Leonarda Pillsbury

In St. John's, the capital city of Antigua, farmers markets, candy- colored architecture and the ruins of sugar plantations vie for attention with a kaleidoscope of coral reefs and sailing adventures. Salute the white baroque towers of St. John's Cathedral that dominate the skyline before joining the flocks of cruise passengers on a Heritage Quay shopping excursion. To experience the island's early cultures, visit the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, housed in a 1750s colonial courthouse.

Spending the better part of the day with Sean was so worth it! He is very knowledgeable and was very flexible with our itinerary. We learned about and saw things that made our mother/daughter vacation time in Antigua very special. He is a great ambassador for Antigua! Looking forward to our next trip to the Island and time with Antigua VIP tours. COVID protocols followed.

My husband and I did a north coast tour with the owner, Carl. He picked us up from our resort for a 2.5 hour tour. It actually lasted 5 hours and we weren't mad about it! He has a lot of great information about the island and provided us with refreshments at our stops. I would do a tour with him again and recommend his company for your touring needs.
