Hollywood beckons to tourists who long for a brush with Tinseltown glamor. Tour movie studios, slip your hands into the famous prints at the TCL Chinese Theatre, or indulge in a celeb sighting at one of LA’s white-hot nightspots. Spot your favorite star while shopping at The Grove, or forget all about the famous eye candy as you take in the iconic artwork at The Getty Center. For a different type of star-gazing, peek through the telescopes at the Griffith Observatory.

Axe throwing spot to release your inner lumberjack (or just release some stress in general). Came here in a big group (10 of us) without a reservation to do an hour of axe-throwing ($25 per person for an hour). Bear in mind that it’s not a full hour of axe-throwing - rather, you alternate with other parties and take turns. The workers do their best to make sure that everyone spends an equal amount of time throwing axes and do a good job of explaining safety measures and will also help with your technique by watching you throw. Parking is available in the back although there is some street parking available. The lot is immediately after the building and there’s a small sign indicating it’s presence. You have to go down an alley to reach the back so be conscious of others cars coming in and out since the space is a bit narrow. Once you enter you can sign the waiver at the tablets to the right, and can check in/pay with the staff at the front counter. They do take credit card and there’s even a little souvenir shop to the left if you want to buy some shirts or memorabilia. Bathrooms are to the left and the axe throwing for reserved parties are right behind the check in counters, while walk-ins are in the back. There’s a bar that serves alcohol as well as food. They even have a CBD tea (which tastes yummy and like a faint peach, but didn’t really do anything beyond that). For the actual axe throwing, you’re given hatchets but have the option to throw the heavier, larger axes if you make a reservation. There’s plenty of seating and it’s a good large group activity, although I saw plenty of people on dates as well. Overall, it’s a fun way to spend an afternoon and to do something novel.

This was so much fun!! Our two boys and their friend (ages 10, 13, and 15) absolutely loved it. We did Deadwood Mansion which is a zombie shooter game, and I was freaked out in the best way. It felt so realistic that you forget you are in a small green room. They were very helpful with instructions. Definitely want to go back and do the other stories. You will not regret booking this!
