What to do and see in South Lake Tahoe, California (CA): The Best Things to do Good for a Rainy Day

August 13, 2021 Emerita Lamoureux

South Lake Tahoe is the only destination in the country that combines two strikingly different worlds: The spectacular beauty of a national park, and all the desirable amenities of a world-class resort. Here you can enjoy a full range of exhilarating outdoor activities – from skiing and snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sleigh rides and sledding to hiking, biking, kayaking, boating, fishing, swimming, and golf - alongside the excitement of 24-hour nightclubs, fine dining, gaming and entertainment.

I selected this spa as a treat for myself while my husband went skiing. I had the body scrub and massage, and it was excellent. Although not a large resort spa, BioSpirit was quiet, calm and relaxing. Beverly was an excellent massage therapist and everyone there was very helpful and friendly. the Eucalyptus steam room was an added delight. I was so happy with the service that I attempted to book an additional appointment, but they were booked up. I would highly recommend this spa, and plan on visiting again. They also gave me some great recommendations for some local restaurants, which were also great! Give yourself a treat and book this great spa!

This was quite possibly the best treatment I've ever had. I went with The Escape. It's a half hour moisturizing wrap followed by a 60 minute massage. My therapist, David, was superb. I highly recommend adding the neck treatment. The Spa itself is smaller than I'm used to and I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant. But all those doubts went away when the treatment started. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Tahoe.
