Our family had a wonderful tour of My Son with Andy. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the temples, but he also spent the ride to My Son from Hoi An explaining all kinds of interesting tidbits about Vietnamese culture and history. We had our 21 month old with us, and he was very patient. Even explaining things twice so that one of us could stay with our son and take turns going up areas where it would be hard to navigate with the stroller. We basically had the area to ourselves as tourism hasn’t quite bounced back yet from the Covid season.

The tour quality is not too bad. But the company's attitude towards their employee is bad, which is very important because that employee will use the same attitude towards the customer. Negative emotions are something that should not be present when traveling.

Another day another Andy’s Tours. This time we booked the Danang City Night Tour with Mr Key. He took us to see the sunset at Marble Mountain which was amazing. We also went to the Lady Buddah and the Dragon Bridge. They also arranged dinner at a Vegetarian restaurant for us which we both really enjoyed also so very kind of them to ensure there was something we could eat. Mr Key was so knowledgeable with everything and really accommodating. He also takes great pictures. I highly recommend Andy’s Tour if you want a great day out in Danang or Hoi An. Had an easy day excursion out to Monkey Island. We did it ourselves and it is a decent day out. Definitely take the boat out first to the camp and then walk back as it can get quite complicated to get boat tickets. It is quite a good spot to experience the mangroves and some of the Vietnamese culture as well as the Wildlife. Whilst the monkeys are interesting it is still worth keeping a distance especially with young children as they are wild animals.

When you travel from Danang to visit Hue, this must be the major transition point for tourist. It has a history for being the defensive location for the city. There wasn't much to see except that the view from high up was quite nice or impressive for some. Most might spend 15 to 20 minutes there at most.

Thousands, no, ten-thousands tourist fill the streets of the old quarter. It's even hard to see the houses behind the enormous crowds. 90% of the buidings are shops, restaurants, cafés and snackbars. OK, 10% are more interesting. There are some genuine, authentic Chinese houses but most houses are recently renovated and not as they once were. You can also have a short ride in a small boat, called 'sampam', with a lighted lamp. But is this an authentic, well-preserved untouched Vietnamese harbour town? No.
