Oliphant Brewing

This place makes my taste buds happy. The beer selections are continuously changing out so you never know what will be on tap when you visit. I don't like dark beer and their dark beer is absolutely fabulous (ex. Gobias - coffee black ale). Let's talk about the beer names - I'll drink the beer just for the name. For example, "Facehugger Fiesta" and "The Ancient Bone Saber of Zumakalis". One of my favorite beers is, "Party On Wayne".

The service here is phenomenal. An employee will walk you through each beer you drink in detail. I suggest getting a LivingSocial or GroupOn to try a wide range of their beers (great deals too). Their personalities are infectious and will leave you will a smile (as if the beer wouldn't do that already).

Hey art lovers! Take the time to check this place out. Crazy, unique and beautiful artwork is spewed across the outside of the building, splattered on the inside of the building and graces their beer list (continuously changing).

As an added bonus, lumpias (Filipino egg rolls) are served here in evening ours. These tasty little nuggets come with an even tastier sauce. $3 each or 3 for $7. Do yourself a favor and eat some.

Fun atmosphere, great people, delicious beer. I come here every chance I get!

This park is great for a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's conveniently located by I-94. It's very quiet and the trails are large enough to not feel crowded when others are there. The falls are beautiful in any season and definitely a must see. The campsites are also secluded and you don't feel like you are close to one another. This is easily one of my favorite state parks!

Absolutely without a doubt our favorite-ever distillery stop, and we have been to a few. Friendly, inviting staff who explained, shared and told stories. Many unique liquors to try. Excellent bourbon, rye, and wheat whiskey as well as vodka. Orangecello and limoncello were amazing! All fruit hand zested for these batches. It was out of our way to visit, but we will DEFINITELY go back. Don't miss if you enjoy these spirits.

I like looking at structures.. old barns, old bridges, old buildings, old houses, old forts, and old ships all fascinate me. I am intrigued by the things that were built by humans. The structures of yesteryear are slowly going away; some by natural age, some by natural disasters, and others because of neglect, deterioration, or not getting used. You have to see them before they disappear.

William O'Brien State Park

Reviewed By JCJake - Minnesota

We are so fortunate to have our state park system. Inviting, typically well kept, and so many recreational opportunities. O'Brien lives up to that, too. Great hiking trails even in the spring they are doing pretty well with not too many mucky areas. The visitor center is a nice starting point with often a fire going in the wood stove and information to help enjoy the park. The camping and cabins available are nice, too. We've done it all - summer and winter for many years. The park offers something for every season.
Fun area of MN not far from Stillwater and other scenic areas to enjoy. There is a paved bike trail that runs along why 95 for some distance - last time I was there it eventually puts you on the road. I'm not sure if that's changed. But enough to keep families busy.
We've cross country skied here, swam in the summer, biked, camped, stayed in the cabins. Enjoy!!

Ok, I'm gonna get right to it.

- children are not allowed to sit at the bar, this is not a bad thing, just have never seen it in Wisconsin.

- menu was expensive so we got one half price order of pizza fries, I don't think they could have been any thinner. The were half price at 6 something...still not worth it.

- drinks were weak

- atmosphere, well just not there. Everytime we go there we leave thinking, eh.

- restroom situation - awkward! Their door is directly facing the bar, when I opened up the door the bartender was looking right at me. ( he was about 8 Ft away only) the patrons can sit on a bar stool and look right into the stalls. Gross.

Very sweet but be aware if kids over 5, it is a quick walk through, not a destination. Definitely geared for toddlers only. Adorable teddy bear sculptures that begged to be climbed on with signs forbidding it. Great spot for little ones.

Love the mango beer! I have discovered it is much better fresh off the tap than canned as the mango flavor stands out much more. Great outdoor patio with ample seating - perfect to watch the sunset. Service is always friendly. Prices reasonable.

Float Rite Park Tubing

Reviewed By Daveann11 - Wisconsin

We stayed the weekend of July 21-24, 2016 and had a very nice river site.
Thursday check in was very easy and Liz was accommodating and very nice to work with. Our site was great and quiet.
We tubed the river on Friday since the heat was crazy hot, we started with a nice float together and the serenity of the river.
This is where it went south!!! The valve broke away, tube deflated and we were on one tube, 10 min into a 3 hour float...when we returned to the campground, no coupon, refund or anything for the deflated tube, he saw exactly what happened and asked if everything else was o.k., we explained a nice guest at a different campground drove us back, his response that was nice.
We headed down to our campsite and it was NUTS!!! Young, drunk, loud and rowdy. Our quiet site was now in the middle of a frat party. Our neighbors brought a professional sound system that was so loud, no one in the campground could hear their own music or even talk. We didn't want to cause any issues hoping the staff would ask for it to be turned down. NOPE, loud obnoxious music until 3 a.m. and then at 7:45 a.m. it started again for the duration of the day. Many hung over young people in tents were less then impressed and it also sent a family home since they could not stand it anymore.
I think if I were in the mind set of these campers, it would have been a fun time (less the too loud music) if you go here, prepare to party and have fun. This is what the campground is known for. DO NOT BRING CHILDREN, especially on a weekend.
You will pay a garbage deposit of $30, get $20 back if you clean your site, $10 parking pass, $16 per tube and $25 p/p off river site add another $10 p/p on river per night.
Have fun if you do stay, but know what you are getting into ahead of time. Across the river is a quieter campground.

Brown's Creek Trail

I've taken up bike riding as a way to enjoy the outdoors and also restore my balance from a brain infection. It's been a life saver, literally. We moved to this area in Fall, 2016 and I sometimes have to pinch myself to see if I'm dreaming. The whole area is beautiful and this trail, along with so many others, is beautiful. I especially like to descent into Stillwater along the Brown Creek mini gorge and can't wait to experience my first full fall riding this trail!!!
