Snohomish is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 9,098 at the 2010 census. The mayor of Snohomish is John T. Kartak and the interim city administrator is Steve Schuller. Snohomish prides itself for its historical downtown, and is known for its many antique shops. Snohomish is also referred to as the "Antique Capital of the Northwest." The historic business and residential center of the town constitutes the Snohomish Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many houses bear plaques with the year the house was built and the name of the people who originally occupied it. Each year the city gives tours of the historic houses; one of them, the Blackman House, is a year-round museum. A general aviation airfield, Harvey Airfield, is less than one mile southwest of downtown Snohomish.

Alpacas from Mars is a working alpaca ranch established in 2000. We raise huacaya alpacas for their luxurious, fine fleece. The alpacas are sheared once a year, then we hand process the fleece into rovings, batts, yarn, & felt products. Visitors can meet the alpacas, learn about our eco-friendly farm practices, and see how we process the fleece. Hands-on activities available. Farm Store. Groups welcome. Birthday parties and girls night out as well as fiber arts classes. Check our website for Open Farm Days, Special Events, and hours of operation. By appointment Thursday - Sunday, April - September.

Our favorite part was to see so many families there. We were told that during the weekend this place was so busy they had to close the main gate two hours early. So get there early to have fun. You can buy mini doughnuts and other delicacies there - the funnel cake place was closed. Nice gift shop too. You don't have to pay to enter the pumpkin patch, only for the attractions, like the hay ride, going through the maze - one for children, one for adults. Lots of parking available.

Weekdays work better: less crowding, less cost ($10 vs $15), no waiting for attractions. We did everything and packed a lot into our visit: farmyard animals, hayride, kids corn maze, tractor pull, duck races, apple picking, pumpkin picking, slide, climbing on haystacks, pedal bike, hay lifting with pulleys. Covid concerns were addressed (masks required and social distancing suggested) but even though some patrons didn’t listen, there was enough room to spread out and avoid them. Hint: start out your visit with a fresh apple cider donut & coffee-you will need the energy to keep up with the little ones!

My husband and I attended their annual "Blooms and Berries" event where you can pick sunflowers by the bucket and blueberries by the pint. The staff were very welcoming, the signage for parking and where to head for picking was great, and they set up "photo opps" in the sunflower fields (garden windows, vintage bicycles, upcycled vintage tub, and more) - so darn cute and they were perfect pix for framing. They also had a wide variety of gorgeous sunflowers; I had no idea they came in so many autumnal colors! I mainly attended for the flowers, but this is definitely a fun family outing. There were activities included for children throughout as well as opportunities to purchase handmade goods. Despite the crowds, the traffic flow from parking to walking the grounds was very smooth and well-planned - we really appreciated that attention to detail.

After experiencing perfect weather for a time. We had a rainy day. We heard there was some nice shops in Snohomish. We were not disappointed. Plenty of antique shops and food options. Well worth a visit regardless of the weather.

This was my first time to Stocker Farms and it won’t be my last. We arrived at 1:30 and we were busy up until they closed. There are so many activities to do that we ran out of time. I recommend getting there early and plan to stay the full day. We didn’t have the opportunity to do a few of the things. The pumpkin patch was fun for all ages. The maze was fun. The adults and kids did the harder one and then we sent the kids to do the easier one by themselves. They all had a blast. The kids were all so busy that they didn’t have time to mention the dreaded I’m bored comments. There was plenty of parking. Even though it was a busy Saturday you didn’t feel like cattle being shuffled between activities. The sunflowers were beautiful and a nice touch. All the staff that I interacted with were pleasant. I will definitely come back next year.
