Sneads Ferry is a census-designated place (CDP) in Onslow County, North Carolina, United States. It is the second largest municipality in Onslow County, behind Jacksonville and is part of the Jacksonville, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. Once a rural fishing village, Sneads Ferry has experienced a surge in development since 2000. Based on U.S. Census data, the study area has grown from 5,425 residents in 2000 to approximately 9,750 residents in 2014, an 80% increase. Growth primarily has been driven by accessibility to MCB Camp Lejeune from the gate on NC 172 and expansion of the United States Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC) accessed from NC 210. Sneads Ferry is expected to continue growing rapidly at 3.3% annually, adding 17,500 new residents through 2040 reaching 20,000 in total population by 2030.

Stopped by today to see what this place was like. Great if you paint or do crafts. Items in the store were not of good quality and were overpriced. The clerk followed us around the store like we were thieves. Would never go back.

Whether you are local or from out of town, you should make the time to go see this memorial. It's beautiful and quiet. You will also find the Montford Point Marines, Beirut and 9/11 Memorials on the same grounds. Everything is easy to get to and is accessible for people in wheelchairs, scooters and/or families with strollers.

Capt'n Mike was great and very accommodating as we were looking to rent jet ski's in November. 8 new timers went (including a Senior senior citizen)and Capt'n Mike took the extra time with us till we were comfortable. Was not checking his watch the whole time. Recommend Makin Waves Dolphin tour for everyone!

Our family, including two children, went on a two hour boat ride and loved it. Capt. Tim is very knowledgable on the area as well as very nice. A couple days later my husband and his father went back out for a three hour fishing trip. Capt. Tim knew exactly where to go. They caught 50 plus fish of various kinds as well as three black fin sharks. We will be doing this again next year!

These guys were great. Went here after getting into a fight with Making Waves. Gave a great review last year but it's not up for some reason. They were helpful, friendly and just nice people. I highly recommend them. We are definitely going back to them this summer.

This is a great layout for a golf course with several beautiful views looking back toward Top Sail. Some impressive gators sprinkled around the course as well. But the course itself is a bad muni - fairways in bad condition, lots of mud/dirt in many areas designated 'fairway', generally doesn't drain well so can be swampy in spots, and bring your bug spray. Greens are just OK - pretty slow. Hard to believe they charge $65 for a round in mid week in this location. There are much nicer clubs within an hours drive for much better value. Bar is well stocked - food is not great.
