Otres Beach

Ogres 2 is a lot quieter than Ogres 1 but slightly more expensive. They are about 2kms apart and both offer beach front bars, restaurants and accommodation. It's just a shame that just a few hundred metres inland from Ogres 1 there's a massive Chinese building site project.

Kbal Chhay Waterfall

Nice place to visit. The Waterfalls are not so big, but they are definetly worth to see, the nature around etc. We went there by rental moped, so the trip there was an experience it self. When we went there, the sun was allready setting, so there was quiet and nice, dont know how it is on rush hours. cool place

Independence Beach

Reviewed By chiangmaicharlies - Chiang Mai, Thailand

Most of the Beaches in Sihanoukville are poor by international standards and Independence Beach is one of them.
Not as dirty as some, but no amenities on the beach. When we visited, just a few other tourists walking around and some fishermen.
We also visited both Otres 1 and Otres 2 Beaches and considered them the best in Sihanoukville, much busier with very cheap restaurants and good food. People were sunbathing, and in the ocean there.

Wat Leu Temple

Nice view from the top of the temple. Lots of monkeys. Lots of friendly doggies too. Be prepared to climb a few steps of stairs which can be quite slippery when its wet. Worth a trip there.

Wat Krom Temple

Reviewed By MSUTom77 - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Our trip to Cambodia showed us the abject poverty the country has as well as the beautiful scenery and temples. This temple had great figures and statues. It had a Buddhist monk monastery where we saw several walking about the property. Inside the temple there are painting depicting the life of Buddha. Very colorful and intricate. There are many young children around asking for handouts. If you think of it, bring a bag of candy (something that won't melt) to hand out to them or get a bunch of small Cambodian coins.

I tried a training session in Thai Boxing at the resort, and I must say that even though I learnt a few techniques it was not enjoyable. The teacher was impatient, and even rude at some times. He jabbed me unprepared in the face to say that my guard was wrong. I think the resort might want to educate their staff in etiquette and how to be a proper teacher.
