Hilltop Park

Hilltop Park offers one of the best views in the L.A. area. The smoke signal in the center of the park alludes to the long history which inspired the naming of the city. Picnic tables, public restrooms and paved walking paths at the park make it an enjoyable spot to visit.

Ten Mile Brewing Company

Ten Mile Brewing Co is the best craft beer brewery in all of southern California their variety of beers are truly great, everyone is unique and full of flavor. I ordered the Das Uncommon a Dunkel bock (6.6%) which happens to be my favorite beer here, and my friends tried the freshly tapped New England style Hazy IPA, I am not an IPA fan but my friends were really impressed with this ale. During our couple of hours here we also tried Hidden Hollow (5.2%) a Kentucky common that appears to be dark but drinks remarkably light, Maggie Mae (4.8%) a blond malty ale that is light refreshing, The Low Countries is a Belgian triple (8.9%) this is highly aromatic, with touches of spices, banana and even bubble gum, and Hop Exposure a double ipa (8,3%) very hoppy made from a blend of six hops and amounts of Cascade and Amarillo. If you have not been to this Brewery then go you will not be disappointed. All the staff are friendly and know their beer. For fine dining there is an independent food truck outside. TIP. Start with the blond and work your way up to the Belgian triple and an Uber ride home.

The staff at MotoQuest offer a unique experience for those seeking to rent a high quality, high performance motorcycle. From the first contact, to the point in time that my wife and I returned the BMW RT1200 to MotoQuest at Signal Hill, the experience has been nothing short of EXCELLENT. The Bike: We decided on a BMW RT1200 replete with panniers and rear trunk. My wife and I shipped all of our gear from Florida to Los Angeles; MotoQuest happily stored our luggage while we were touring the great state of California. Our trip encompassed six days and 1250 miles with absolutely ZERO problems. ZERO Problems! The bike was perfect. In fact, within ten minutes of heading North on I405 the bike, driver, and rider, were all in unison. We tend to ride in a spirited manner - no foolishness, but there is a reason why people ride motorcycles - performance, fun, adventure. Neither of us had any reason to doubt the safety and reliability of the Bimmer assigned to our trip. The Staff: Antoinette and Brad were our primary points of contact; both individuals were patient and supportive. All of the folks that we either talked with on the phone or emailed (prior to our trip) and especially Brad, exude professionalism, and experience as riders themselves. This is no small detail. A staff that is in and of itself comprised of riders, offers the customer insight with regard to California highways (the good ones), some do's and dont's, as well as the knowledge that in the event of a motorcycle failure, or a reach back text or call to Long Beach, that the staff is there for you the customer. We were very impressed. The Ride: Our six day ride was AWESOME! We rode North on the Pacific Coast highway out of Santa Monica making many stops and overnight stays. Once at Monterey, we vectored East to Yosemite; from Yosemite we turned South and vectored to Sequoia National Forest and then returned to Long Beach. My wife and I have been riding for years all over the U.S. but principally in the South Eastern quadrant of the U.S. As a motorcyclist, riding on California highways, will likely make you want sing at the top of your lungs. Talk about TWISTY turns, corners, switchbacks, suspension loading, and unloading. WE HAD A BLAST!! The Price: Worth EVERY dollar. The Future: So. We will return to MotoQuest. Our next trip will be more like two weeks, where we will head north of San Francisco well into Northern California and into Oregon. Many thanks to the MotoQuest staff for what has been an utterly positive experience. Highly Recommended! Bill & Kathy
