Bendalong Beach

Bendalong Beach stretches between the villages of Bendalong and Manyana. The beach faces south-east and is a great place for taking the family and enjoying some bigger waves to go body boarding or play games on the sand. There are occasionally good waves for learning how to surf. You can stay in a holiday house or at the nearby holiday park.

So happy to stumble across Bendalong, beautiful beaches for surfing, swimming, boating and dogs. Traveling with our dog we often find many areas are not dog friendly at all but definitely not the case here, 24/7 dog beach at Washerwoman. The bull rays swim up and rub against you at boat ramp beach, they're such graceful creatures - AMAZING! Had some pretty epic sunsets here too!

Gondwana Coast Fossil Walk

Reviewed By 993anitat - Forster, Australia

We were visiting the wonderful little Fossil House when the friendly staff member told us about the geological time walk on the north side of Ulladulla Harbour. For every metre you walk you journey through 2 million years of geology of the area. Not too much information to read and the displays of rocks really help to tell the story.

Greenfield Beach

Greenfield Beach is a short beach inside famous Jervis Bay that is known by locals as having some of the whitest sand in the bay. Go for the day and enjoy the bbq area, or spend time birdwatching in the bushland behind the beach.

Reviewed By Emanpee - Sydney, Australia

We walked to Greenfield Beach from Chinamens Beach, a wonderful well defined path through bushland with great coastal and water views. Facilities at Greenfield are well maintained, toilets and picnic area. The beach, mid week in November, is uncrowded, water is clear, sand is clean and plentiful, as was available parking. A beautiful part of NSW south coast.

Drawing Room Rocks

Reviewed By TMacintyre - Wanniassa, Australia

Great short walk near Berry & Kangaroo Valley, 3km's return, depending on fitness level about 1hr return. There are some moderate uphill sections but the walk is generally easy. The track is clearly defined and fun walking underneath the sub-tropical canopy. The views over the Illawarra are spectacular, along with the unique rock formations. Keep kids and dogs on leash there are severe drop-offs at the top.

Almost no one in the beach. It was wonderful. Miles and miles of clean sand, and just a fabulous walk. The reflections in the water as the waves receded was delightful. Lots of shells but sadly ‘pippies’ are now poisonous. What are we doing to our world. I used to eat these when I was a kid!

Hyams Beach

Hyams beach is a long beach with spectacular white sand located in Jervis Bay. The best way to get there is to take the White Sands Walk from Greenfield Beach or Vincentia, that way you get to enjoy more than one of Jervis Bay’s spectacular white sand beaches.

White Sands Walk

Reviewed By AusFamily123 - Sydney, Australia

This is a beautiful walk that gives you a taste of the magic of Jervis Bay. You pass through bush land, around coastal headland, and along white sandy beaches. Takes about an hour ambling slowly with children. Plenty of places to stop and rest for toddlers. You finish up at the Hyams Beach Cafe which is a great pit stop for a cool drink or yummy lunch before you head back. Walk can be extended at either end to make it longer by adding Plantation Point at Vincentia end or Hyams Beach walk at other end. A fab idea for a windy or cold day if you’re in Jervis Bay with kids
