While we were sad to have to cancel our July trip to Japan due to the pandemic, we found the process of working with Japan Awaits to be easy and efficient. I can't speak to the full experience since we weren't able to go, but filling out the form and our communication with the company was no problem. And their prompt and courteous response to our request for a refund speaks to their professionalism. We will definitely come back to ask for their help in procuring tickets to the Studio Ghibli Museum when we do finally make it to Japan! Fingers crossed for next summer.

As we where travelling in Fuji area in these Covid times, we stayed at K's house for a couple of night to recharge and restore ourselves after long travels. The place was the best deal, and great facilities, all we could need, and very clean and tidy and diverse, from Kotatsu, to guitar, and from amazing photography books to hammock and the big fully equiped kitchen and the perfect location, What could we have asked more ? Well, the staff was so nice that they noticed it was soon my birthday and when I entered the room they had left a present for me! A golden sake in a beautiful Fuji tissu. I was truly touched by this intention.. Thank you very much for making our stay in Fuji very comfortable and special ???? Soon to come again ????

Staying in Hakone? Let's go to Mishima and explore the superb view! Hakone is easily accessible from Tokyo and is a popular tourist destination. It is known or famous as a hot spring town and has many attractions. For example, a beautiful Lake Ashi and the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji. Those are of course must-see tourist destinations, but on this tour, you will reach Mishima on the west side of Mt. Hakone. Despite the fact that there was still a lot of nature left undeveloped until today, in recent years it has been developed so that many people can enjoy the impressive scenery! This area is worth to visit because it takes only 20 minutes by bus from Hakone. It is a recommended tour on the second day of Hakone sightseeing, which extends to the unknown area.

The flexibility to chose locations that suited our wants and abilities was great. Hiro San was very quick to put together an itinerary that accommodated a family with a stroller-baby (no monkey park due to long unpacked walking paths). Taking in the beautiful temples and view of the Kyoto from the west was breath taking and the guide was able to explain many things we as new Japanese learners could not read or know through cultural knowledge. Overall a great experience, a wonderful and lively guide, and some great memories.
