Deer Pond Farm covers 835 acres of rugged hardwood forest, meadows, and wetlands straddling the state border of Connecticut and New York. Situated between elevations of 900 and 1200 feet, there are many vistas to enjoy along the trails. Deer Pond Farm includes a network of 20 miles of trails. The sanctuary is open year-round, seven days a week, from dawn to dusk. Guided programs offered monthly.

We enjoy quite places and plenty of nature and this place really delivers. You can take a long hike or a short one depending on your mood and how cold it is. When you step into the woods in a snow covered nature setting the worlds issues disappear for a little while. Stop for a while and its amazing how many birds suddenly seem to appear.

I've visited the Silo many times. It's 2 minutes from downtown Sherman and let's to step back a moment as you enter the farm and its old barn to be surprised with a state-of-the-art tasting room and art gallery. A couple of times a year we go to meet the artists which is always a delight along with tasting some of their new wine parings. On a nice days, enjoying their outside tables and a pitcher of Sangria can really set the mood! Just a nice stop when your 90 minutes north of the city.

I have never missed a show here in 22 years!! The local actors work so hard and do AMAZING performances!!! I've had my favorites: Company, Rocky Horror, Big, West Side Story, Steel Magnolias to name a few musicals. The dramas have given me goosebumps at times and the comedies have given me good belly laughs!! I don't know why anyone who loves or even just likes the theater wouldn't come to each performance!! You won't be disappointed! Just wonderful!!!!
